Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I performed twice at a punk festival called Rebellion in Blackpool at the world famous Winter Gardens where artists such as Toyah Wilcox, The Buzzcocks, Bad Manners, Gary Numan and The Undertones were all on the same bill, I know some interesting people!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I have many influences from The Commitments to Joe Cocker and then more modern bands like Kings of Leon too.
I couldn't name a favourite, there are too many though I have a huge soft spot for Depeche Mode!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started as a solo singer/songwriter and then ended up in Rock bands that had videos on the sky tv Rock channels and ended up touring Europe etc too.
I wanted to get involved with singing all types of songs as I'm really eclectic and I've been a huge part of the gigging circuit for years now entertaining people up and down the country and beyond.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love all events but I adore pub gigs! It's where it all began for me

Are you any good?

Well yeah!! Book me and see for yourself!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

The main thing required is adequate power points with regards to setting up, set up time is usually around 20-30 minutes.

The show will as a rule be two sets of 45 minutes with music played before & in between as a Disco set on the house if required.

3 half hour sets can be arranged upon request for clients wanting to separate their night a touch more also.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes outside is great too

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

It tends to be what you see on the listing is what I do and I probably switch songs in and out on any given night with a small handful of songs I do for variation.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Exciting, like a live band but with one man!
