The Definitives are a dynamic 5/6/7/8 piece covers band featuring some of the best musicians in the north of England. With one male vocalist/guitarist and one/two female vocalists, they can authentically capture the sound of a wide range of classic dance-floor hits from across the last 5 decades. With soaring vocal harmonies (6/8-piece), a super-funky rhythm section and one of the best sax/trumpet combos in the country, The Definitives are the ultimate party band, providing a wow factor for your wedding, corporate event or Christmas party. They combine a fun, friendly demeanor with an ultra-professional attitude on and off the stage.
All of the members of The Definitives are full-time, music degree-trained players with a wealth of pro experience behind them. This collectively includes being musical directors on cruise ships, playing on national theatre tours, doing session work for various artists as well as teaching on their respective instruments.
Self-confessed perfectionists, they have gone to the nth degree to pick the best songs around and then faithfully recreate them with authentic instrumental sounds and arrangements. This makes The Definitives a cut above your average covers band.

Yes, we're completely self-contained. We bring our own PA system and lighting.
Just the name and address. The Venue will let you know if that need any certification from us such as a PAT test or Public Liability Insurance. These will be forwarded on as required.
No. But you can play your own playlist through our PA. We also have a general pop/rock/soul playlist that we can put on between sets.

Yes, as long as there is a cover over us and our equipment in case of rain (British summers and all that!)
For weddings, you can request a first dance which we will learn for you (Minimum 1 month's notice required). You can also request any of the tunes from the repertoire lists on our website.
