The Acoustic Experiment was formed in March 2008 and consists of 2 members Al Luck and Ollie Paine. The idea was to combine two great players together in order to create a musical act that could undertake some great live gigs where space might be an issue. Our setup is piano and guitar which means we can produce a fuller sound with the help of the extra keyboard parts we can add into songs (strings, brass and synth).
Playing covers from 60's to present, The Acoustic Experiment can perform up to 2.5 hours of live music without the aid of backing tracks. We have built up a fantastic selection of popular songs which means we are suitable for any type of event. We can play background music for weddings if required or take the main stage for the evening event. We can also learn first dances for weddings with enough notice.
If an acoustic duo is not what you're after and you need a full band we are part of Unit 4, a trio who play the same songs but with the addition of a drummer and bass guitar is played with the keyboard, sounding like four instruments.
