Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I can either play acoustically while walking around, or with a speaker for more volume. I can supply my own PA equipment.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes I can provide a PA

What information do you require about a venue?

Directions to the venue and if they need PAT test certificates for speakers.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I usually play one 90 minute set but if you would like me to take a short break, I can play some background music through my speaker.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I have played to 1,500 in a theatre in Eastbourne with the BBC

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Richard Galliano, Astor Piazolla, Frank Marocco

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started at age 17 with the family band, we were playing concerts and weddings.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Weddings

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

It only takes me 5 minutes to setup if I am playing acoustic while walking around. If I am playing to a larger room with more people and you would like me to bring a speaker, it takes me about 20 minutes to get setup.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes as long as there is somewhere under cover I can go if it starts raining, my accordion doesn't like water.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients can choose one request for me to learn, it takes me about three hours at home to learn a song so I limit it to one. I do however have a very large repertoire, so if it's accordion based music like Edith Piaf etc the chance is I will know it already.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

My accordion set has been described as easy listening music that sets a european style atmosphere.

How long do you play for

My set is 90 minutes long, this can be split into two 45 minute sets with a short break.

Can you walk around while playing?

Yes if you want me to play acoustically without a speaker, I can walk around guests so everybody gets to hear the music.
