One of our best gigs was at a sizeable local venue hosting a Eurovision night. The energy was off the charts! Everyone was dressed up and ready to celebrate, singing along and dancing throughout our set.

Our music is inspired by a blend of pop and soulful icons like Dua Lipa and Amy Winehouse, whose modern and vintage vibes we love to weave into our sets. Sabrina Carpenter brings a fresh, playful energy that we can’t get enough of, while Sophie Ellis-Bextor adds that infectious dance-floor magic we aim to capture. However, we love songs from across the years and have firm favourites such as 'Dreams' - Fleetwood Mac, and 'Believe' - Cher.

Each member of The New Rules brings a unique musical background that adds to the band’s rich, versatile sound. Lindsay has spent over eight years as a wedding singer, performing as a solo artist and in duos, and has performed as a backing singer for Pixie Lott. James and Tom are lifelong musicians who’ve been gigging in bands all over the Midlands, bringing exceptional skill and experience to the mix. Together, they blend their talents into a polished yet relaxed performance style that’s made The New Rules a hit for weddings and events of all kinds.

Our favourite events are intimate weddings and lively parties where we can really connect with the crowd and create a memorable experience. We love it when guests are fully immersed in the music, whether it's a laid-back lounge set for mingling or upbeat pop covers that get everyone dancing. There’s something special about being part of a couple’s big day or making a celebration unforgettable—those moments when the crowd is singing along and having the best time are our favourite!

We usually arrive 1.5 - 2 hours before the performance to set up. We typically perform 2 x 45-minute sets over a three-hour period, although we are happy to discuss bespoke packages. We can tailor our set list for your ceremony, drinks reception, or even into the evening on the dance floor.

Of course! We will need access to power, a flat surface to play on (and cover is useful in the great British weather!) If it's raining and there's no cover, we will need to play inside.

We have an extensive set list. Clients are more than welcome to make requests and we will do our best to accommodate this, and if we don't know a song we are happy to learn this for £50.
