Say hello to the creme de la creme of the northern traditional-jazz scene; specialising in all things swing.

With a 'Speakeasy - Selection' spanning the whole Century, they've seen action in the fields (Womad 2017, Bestival 2017, Boomtown, Party like Gatsby - Copenhagen) and have been titled the Yorkshire Wedding Magazine's Wedding Band of the Year 2016.

Their own quirky takes on modern classics ('Toxic', 'Sing it back', 'Last nite') sit seamlessly along side a burgeoning repertoire of New Orleans & Gypsy Jazz; its this diversity of sound and energy which allows them to tailor their performance to almost any setting.

For themed events the band can come in full 'dandy attire', complete with boating hats, blazers and cricket trousers (see pic).

Song requests can also be undertaken for a negotiable fee.

As well as performing acoustic walk about, the band has a fully functioning busking set up consisting of battery powered PA and amps. This literally means they can integrated in to almost any aspect of an event, unencumbered by mains power and other logistical issues.

Line-ups:

• Duo - Guitarist 'loop pedal' to record his rhythm Guitar and improvise over the top while multi-instrumentalist Oliver gets to work on the Sax, Clarinet, Vocals, Banjo, Harmonica and musical Saw.
• Trio - Sees the addition of Double Bassist to create a fully formed rhythm section.
• Quartet - Depending of noise and spacial constraints we would recommend adding either the drums or the trumpet as the 4th member.
• Quintet - The addition of the trumpet allows both lead instruments to perfomr in polyphony, creating the distinctive New Orleans sound. Indeed it is hard to imagine swing music without the presence of the drums, which are included in almost all lineups upward of the 5 piece.
• Sextet - Here you have a choice between lead vocalist OR a Trombone. The later rounds off the horn section to create a completely authentic New Orleans sound, with plenty of exhibitionism. Vocalist adds a certain fineness to proceedings, allowing the horns to take more of an accompanying role, from time to time.
• Septet - The full 7 piece band includes all the aspects mentioned above. It can be Smooth and delicate or raunchy and upbeat depending on the mood in the room.
