About / Biography

Éadaoin is a dynamic and versatile violinist, harpist, and electrifying performer, captivating audiences worldwide with her extraordinary talent and vibrant stage presence. Her musical journey has taken her across the globe, gracing some of the world's most prestigious stages, including Croke Park, the Aviva Stadium, Broadway, Taipei Arena, Kazakhstan Central Concert Hall, Monte Carlo Yacht Club, RDS, the National Concert Hall, and The Barbican Theatre in London.

She has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious 2022 Arts Council Ireland Next Generation Artists Award, multiple All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil titles, the Camac Trophy Award at the Lorient Interceltique Festival, and the Milwaukee Irish Festival and Irish World Academy Partnership Award. Éadaoin was also honored with the Mayo Young Person Of The Year Award and is a two-time Oireachtas na Gaeilge champion.

Éadaoin's collaborations with internationally renowned artists span a diverse array of genres, showcasing her ability to seamlessly blend traditional and contemporary styles. Her music has brought her to countries like China, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Canada, Taiwan, and throughout Europe and North America. She has also had the honor of performing at Áras an Uachtaráin for President Michael D. Higgins and served as a lead violinist in Michael Flatley's acclaimed "Lord of the Dance."

In 2019, Éadaoin earned a First Class Master’s degree in Irish Music from The University of Limerick. She launched her self-titled project, EADAOIN, in 2020, with her debut single reaching number one on the iTunes World Charts in Ireland. Additionally, she is a founding member of the folk duo LÉDA, whose debut EP “Oh Honey,” released in July 2023, was lauded as ‘Album Of The Week’ by RTÉ radio.

Éadaoin boasts an extensive repertoire, ranging from contemporary pop, dance, house, and Bollywood to fusion music, allowing her to tailor her performances to suit any occasion. Whether performing for intimate gatherings of 10 or captivating arenas of 15,000, Éadaoin’s performances are meticulously crafted to leave a lasting impression.

Based in Glasgow and Dublin, Éadaoin is available for corporate events, luxurious weddings, private parties, and shows. Her wealth of experience and her ability to customize each performance to meet the unique needs of any event make her a sought-after musician on the global stage.

What are your basic technical requirements?

1m x 1m space required. Electricity required


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I am completely self contained. I bring my own PA system to all of my gigs.


What information do you require about a venue?

Parking at the venue, 30 minutes allowed to set up and sound check time


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I am happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between my sets. I am happy to choose the music myself or let the client choose the music.

I've been influenced by a wide range of artists across different genres, as I love stepping out of my comfort zone to explore new styles and sounds. While it’s hard to pinpoint a single favorite, I draw inspiration from a variety of musicians who push boundaries and innovate. As for the greatest song of all time, it’s tough to choose just one, but I appreciate songs that resonate deeply and connect with people across cultures and generations.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I began performing at a young age, competing in festivals around the world. Over time, I had the opportunity to play at renowned venues like Broadway and work with esteemed artists and touring shows such as Lord of the Dance. My experience, along with accolades such as the Arts Council Ireland Next Generation Artists Award, has helped me grow into a versatile and experienced performer.


What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I truly enjoy all types of events, but I have a special fondness for weddings. There's something incredibly rewarding about using my music to create memorable moments and bring joy to people on their special day. Each event allows me to connect with audiences in unique ways, and making people happy with my music is always a highlight


Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes I do, as part of my membership with the Musicians' Union.


Do you work with other musicians?

Yes! I love collaborating with other musicians and performers. I can arrange for additional musicians or dancers to join me at your event, tailored to your specifications.

What are your typical setup and performance times?

My typical setup and performance times depend on the time of day and the specific event. Setup generally takes around 60 minutes, but it can vary based on the schedule and requirements for different parts of the day, such as ceremonies, receptions, or evening events.


Are you happy to perform outside?

I'm happy to perform outdoors, but it depends on the weather and if there's appropriate shelter to protect my instruments. As long as these conditions are met, I can definitely arrange for an outdoor performance!


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients absolutely have a say in what I play! While I have a set repertoire, I’m always open to requests and happy to tailor the music to suit your event. I can work with you to create the perfect playlist for your special day.
