About / Biography

Temple Acoustic are a professional female vocal led duo, trio & quartet.

Both full time professional musicians with a wealth of live experience, they first met whilst playing for the long running world famous ‘Joe Loss Orchestra’. Kevin has also worked with Portishead during the 90’s and both have played independently at some of the UK’s most well-known venues.

Both qualified music teachers they bring their knowledge of music to the stage. Showcasing exceptional male and female lead and backing vocals as well multi-instrumental approaches, this duo provides a classy approach to modern and classic favourites in genres of soul, pop, funk, motown, rock, indie, garage, 90's dance and beyond.

Ideal for upbeat live lounge style background at corporate events and public venues or chilled out garden party/wedding afternoon drinks, they are sure to wow your guests.

The duo comprise of acoustic guitar, bass box, octave pedals, small percussion percussive and male/female lead and backing vocals. The trio option extends to a dedicated professional percussionist using djembe, congas and cajon. And the quartet option further adds a professional pianist to the mix whilst maintaining a chilled out live lounge feel. Great for those venues short on space or restricted on volume!

Why is your price more than the site suggests?

If the quote you receive is higher than the ‘from’ price on this site then are a handful of reasons for this. We travel UK wide so the price is affected dependent on location. We have to ensure fuel costs and travel time are covered after our wages. The time of day, the day of the week and the time of year also factor into this. If it’s a Saturday in the summer then this is a peak time and would be more expensive than a Monday in February, for example. We always try to make things affordable but also need to ensure we are taking a reasonable wage after tax, expenses and time spent on the task.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Amazing vocals! Nice people. Fun.
Never had any negative feedback yet! :)

Can we choose all the songs you play?

We are all professional musicians with many years of experience working in huge productions and each covering 100+ events a year with various acts and some very big names! Based on this it is always hugely appreciated when clients sit back and trust us to provide them with a top service. Unlike a DJ, live music depends much on your chosen line-up, so we will need to factor in what instruments we have available and how they feature in each song, additionally, whilst some songs seem fantastic in a recording studio as part of a huge production, they may not always be the best choice for live purposes or for the ambience of the event. Furthermore we need to ensure live flow, which means decision making based on how the audience are responding and/or what songs best follow the one we last played due to the key/tempo/feel etc. Finally... as musicians (especially vocalists) we also feel that if we enjoy what we are singing/playing then it transfers to the audience! :)
