I require a safe level performance space of at least 2m x 1m. I will need a power supply within 10 metres of the performance space and shade/shelter for outdoor performances. All of my equiipment is packed into my car, so I will require a parking space. A private room would be prefereable if possible for breaks/changing/eating etc.
Yes, I have a simple lighting rig that I can set up for evening performances.
Any directions for finding the venue would be helpful. I will need to know where I can unload my equipment (as close the the performance space as possible) and where I can park. I also need to know exactly where in the venue/room you want me to set up.
I can play music through my PA between sets included in the price. To play music before after my performance, this will be an additional charge.
Not at all. I am completely self sufficient with my own PA system and lighting rig. All I need is a power supply within 10 metres of the performance space!
Of course! I pride myself on being able to create suitable set lists for all occasions. I'll ask you a few questions to get a good idea of what you're after. I'm also great at reading the room, so once I arrive at the gig, sometimes I'll alter the set list according to the demographic and vibe.
I'll happily sing pre-ceremony as guests are being seated. This is usually around 20 minutes before the ceremony begins. I'll sing your processional song (as you walk down the aisle), which I'll learn free of charge if I don't already know it. I'll also sing a couple of songs during the signing of the registry and your recessional song (as you walk back up the aisle.) I can advise on good ceremony songs.
I've performed at The Palace of Westminster before, which was quite surreal! I've also performed at a wedding in Blenheim Palace, which was so beautiful.
As an ex cruise ship singer, I have covered a very wide variety of artists and genres. I have plenty of 80s covering artists such as Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder. I really enjoy, and am often told I'm very good at, singing Country songs by artists such as Dolly Parton. In current day, I love a lot of Becky Hill's music for upbeat parties and hen dos.
I couldn't possibly choose the best song of all time, but the crowd pleasers I often sing for the finale of my sets include I Will Survive, Shout, Country Roads, Gimme Gimme and Uptown Funk.
After acheiving a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Performance, I took a contract performing in a night club in the Middle East. I then moved on to touring on cruise ships in a party band, before settling down in the UK where I began gigging solo and as part of an acoustic duo. I now perform solo for the majority of my gigs and absoultely love what I do.
I perform at weddings, parties, corporate events and in pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants! I love them all, but my favourite is wedding drinks receptions or parties. The vibes are always great fun!
Arrival: 35-45 minutes before the performance
Setup/pack down: Up to 30 minutes set up. 15/20 minutes pack down.
My normal performance times are 2 x 45 minute sets or 3 x 45 minute sets. I can be flexible but have found these times tend to work well for my audiences.
I am more than happy to perform outside, but ask for shade/shelter, a flat level surface and a power supply within 10m of the performance area.
My repertoire consists of over 150 songs and I'm always adding to it. Usually I find there is something for everyone and I'm very going at creating set lists to suit my clients. Sometimes clients like to choose their favourites which is totally fine with me. For weddings, I will learn 1 new song free of charge!
I would say for evening performances, previous clients would descibe my performance as high energy, fun, interactive and entertaining. I have also received many compliments of giving "beautiful" and "moving" performances at wedding ceremonies. I get told often that I have an unexpectedly powerful voice for a little person!
Absolutely! I have a wireless microphone which allows me to wonder out of my performance space and dance with guests if appropriate. It tends to go down really well with a fun crowd and becomes a talking point.
