Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I have played for the Silverstone F1 Race which was pretty exciting! I have played for Rolls Royce in Singapore last year which was incredible! My favourite festival was Greenman Festival though Glastonbury's crowds are pretty magical.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My taste is eclectic ranging from Dimitri from Paris to Mozart and his Lacrimosa! I love the soothing voice of Ella Fitzgerald and loved the creativity of Imogen Heap growing up. I am a sucker for Chappel Roan and loving the comeback of bubblegum pop! I love late romantic classical music and film scores filled with strings. Always room for a guilty pleasure that you can sing your heart out too!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been playing professionally for a decade. My love for the saxophone started when I was young, and I was very lucky to be given my first sax at 8. I studied classically initially, joined a Ska band at Uni, and had the best time playing at festivals. I took lessons in jazz and fell in love with improvisation. I have led big bands, written classical string works and played worldwide, which has felt like a dream! I have self-released a record of cinematic jazz and love playing with DJs. The energy from the crowd is pretty spectacular at times.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I would say it doesn't matter the scale/style of event. The best events are when the audience are having a good time!
