Max Wright (Spotlight Percussion) is a world-class musician who performs in the UK and abroad at luxury events and weddings. High energy performances are his speciality, roaming on bongos with anyone up dancing or playing on a stationary set up adding energy to any DJ or band! Max can also deliver a cool laid back ibiza style vibe to any event if you're not looking for an all out party.. or a bit of both!

I played at a small club in Amsterdam back in 2019 and it was unforgettable! The energy was so high everyone was dancing and ended up with me playing on the bar!
I studied jazz drumming and music at The Royal Welsh College of Music so some of my favourite drummers are Buddy Rich, Max Roach and Mark Guiliana. However is also love Avicii, Gala and BURNS!

Tough choice but I do love a wedding! Everyone is happy and up for a big party with all their best friends and family. The energy is always high and I love seeing everyone having a great time.
I play up to 2 hours on each booking, this can be broken into 4x30min sets or what you'll think will work best for your event!
If I am adding on to your DJ I like to arrive around 1 hour before I'm due to begin, however if I am also bringing a PA then I will need 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Yes! For roaming bongos/percussion this works really well, and if you would like a stationary set up I will need cover if there is a chance of rain.
yes 100%! I am happy to play along to whatever your DJ plays and take requests to make sure all your favourite songs get played!
If I am doing your entire event I ask clients to provide a Spotify/iTunes playlist of the vibe they are looking for.
