We need a hard standing performance space of at least 3 x 5 metres.
Minimum of 2 x 13 amp power sockets.
Parking for 4 cars.

We're completely self contained. We bring our own PA system and simple band lighting.

Any directions that will help us locate the venue and the best place to pull up and unload our equipment.
Please let us know if there is a sound limiter and if possible, what this is set at. We can still play but it's always good to know what we're working with in order to advise you of the possibilities.

We can provide pre mixed Spotify playlists for before, between and after our sets. You can help us curate the list, choose your own or we can provide one we've already put together. You can be involved as you want to be! :)

We've been fortunate enough to play at some wicked venues! At the top of the Gherkin was cool, as was playing underneath the Cutty Sark! We've played in the middle of the ocean on a fort as well as on the Orient Express.

The best gigs are the ones where everyone is having the time of their lives. We absolutely feed off that energy as a band and that keeps growing in our performance until the final beat is played. What a job :)

Can you have a favourite? We all listen to many different artists and that depends on the mood that we're in I guess or where we are in our musical journey. None of us are music snobs and we all have some guilty pleasures!

Me (Katy) - my favourite era is 90's garage because it takes me back to a very fun time with happy memories. That's the great power of music, it transports you back to a memory and time in your life in a heartbeat!

We are all professional musicians and have all been playing with different artists and in various bands and line ups for years! Soulstar began in 2010 and we're all still loving it!

We love a wedding! Making memories with everyone on the dance floor that they'll take home saying 'that was the best wedding ever!' - that's always the goal!

Any event where people are looking to party is exactly the event we love to play. We love to have fun and play music and have a great time too!

For evening entertainment, we can provide a 4, 5 or 6 piece high energy party band!

Drums, bass, guitar and female vocals are our staple band, then you can add on sax or keys too. All of our options sound great and no lineup is better than the other - just different!

Yes! Our acoustic duo, consisting of female vocals and acoustic guitar, can customise your ceremony especially for your wedding day and learn 4 songs of your choice to personalise the walk down the aisle, signing the register and your exit once married. We also play for up to 15 minutes as guests take their seat for the ceremony which also helps to squash any nerves!
We love to then follow this with a 90 minute set over your drinks reception.
We can play outside for both your ceremony and drinks reception if the weather is warm and dry (with some shade provided) and we also have a battery operated speaker which means we can set up just about anywhere.

We take up to an hour to load in and set up which is usually perfect for a room turnaround at a wedding. We then put music on until you're ready for the party to begin!
We usually play your first dance, followed by a 30 minute set. This works well with evening food being served and then we play a 90 minute set when the party is ready to go off! We've tried and tested this for the past 10 years or so and it's a winner at getting people on that dance floor and keeping them there all night!

More than happy to play outside if the weather looks dry and/or with shade. We do require a flat level hard standing surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Our acoustic duo is more than happy to play outside as well and have a battery operated speaker meaning we don't require any power at all!

We have a song list from which we ask clients to tell us which songs they love and if there's any songs they definitely don't want us to play! We put a cracking set list together from there. It's always great to know your other fave songs that aren't on our song list in case we can know them and can throw them in too.
You can pick any song for your first dance too - we'll learn anything!
