Sophie is a freelance saxophonist based in London. She graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a BMus (Hons) in Saxophone Performance in 2019.
She takes on regular performances with award-winning function bands, and in addition to this, she also takes on regular jazz, afrobeat and hip-hop gigs, hosting jam nights, and playing more traditional big-band jazz with a London-based orchestra.
Outside of pop function work, Sophie is a keen jazz musician, playing Baritone Saxophone and Bass clarinet. Sophie also enjoys attending jazz and fusion jams in her local area, especially the Orii jam held on Monday nights.
She has over a decade of professional performing and recording experience, in every genre imaginable - from the classical, and jungle, to afrobeat and pop!
Sophie provides a full audio setup for all performances with her own microphones, laptop and PA system, as well as being a wireless roaming saxophonist for performances if required.

Impossibilities in Milton Court Theatre in March 2024. Such an amazing gig with some incredible musicians, containing entirely new music that had been written by our band since January 2024. Sound technician was also incredible!
Freelance saxophonist and instrumental teacher based in London. Trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama from 2015-2020.
Over 10 years’ experience of professional musicianship spanning pop and hip-hop to Berber and Kurdish ensemble music. Started gigging after covid restrictions lifted, performing at weddings and corporate events as saxophonist in different size function bands.
Recent highlights include: Wilderness Festival, Boomtown Festival, Silk Road Festival Launch Night in Barbados, Claridges, Harrods, Brighton Fringe, the National Theatre River Stage and the Millennium Centre, Wales.
This year: Glastonbury and Shambala Festivals, in my all-female brass band She’s Got Brass.
Festivals are a huge favourite of mine as the crowds are amazing.
Weddings are also my favourite! It's such an amazing feeling being a part of the couple's special day.
