Sonia studied music at the University of Hull and graduated in 2008 with a Bmus(hons). The following year, she moved to London (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance ) to undertake her masters in Early Music Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Timothy Travers Brown and Sophie Grimmer, graduating in 2011.

Since 2009 Sonia has been performing regularly throughout the West Midlands. Solo soprano engagements include:
Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle, Haydn’s Creation, Maria Theresa Masse, Schubert’s Mass in G, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Rutter’s Magnificat, Mozart’s Regina Coeli, Missa in C, Requiem and Vespers.

As well as a healthy concert repertoire Sonia regularly performs for weddings, funerals, corporate events, celebration parties and after dinner entertainment. With her versatile soprano voice she covers a wide range of repertoire to suit any occasion. Every event is special and Sonia is very happy to discuss any requirements of the day with you.

Whether your wedding is in a church or stately home, from the moment the ceremony starts Sonia is happy to take care of the music arrangements. Her services can include leading the hymns and singing at the signing of the register to light entertainment as the photographs are taken or the drinks are served.

Sonia will help guide you through the music so that you can create a wonderful atmosphere for your special day. If there is a piece of music that you would love to have during your ceremony and it currently is not in Sonia's repertoire then she is very happy to learn it for you!
