Comprising of Guildhall School of Music & Drama graduates, the group prides itself in performing original arrangements from the Great American Jazz Songbook and beyond, delivered with sensational improvised solos, hip swing feel, and unbounding passion for the music. Hear toe-tapping jazz classics such as Ellington’s ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing if Ain’t Got That Swing’ in a lush string setting, melt your heart away with a dreamy ballad like “What A Difference A Day Makes”, and sip champagne to the sultry sophisticated notes of Antônio Carlos Jobim Bossa Nova’s “A Girl From Ipanema”.
Soli Strings are equally at home performing your favourite pop songs, both old and new. Sophisticated and elegant renditions of The Beatles, Blondie, or Billie Eilish, as inspired by the soundtrack of Netflix’s “Bridgerton”. The young London based quartet have been performing professionally across the UK and Europe for several years in prestigious venues such as The Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, and Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho. They have performed as both a trio and quartet, as well as alongside larger ensembles such as the BBC Concert Orchestra, the NuCivilisation Orchestra, and Jazz Jamaica, as well as featuring behind singers including ESKA, Jake Shears, Anna Calvi, Tawiah, Brindsley Forde, Noel McCoy, and Jumoké Fashola.

For an acoustic set-up, we will bring everything we need, but will need 4 armless chairs to sit on whilst we play.
We can provide a PA if needed, at an extra cost.
We also request that a light meal and drinks are provided (please confirm dietary requirements).
We can provide a PA which is suggested for larger parties and corporate events.
We require one or two parking spaces depending on the event, and a near-by cupboard/storage place to store our instrument cases for the duration of the performance.
30 minutes set-up time required before playing, longer if a PA is required.
For weddings we often play for 1 hour for the ceremony, which included 30 mins for arrival of the guests, and 30 mins for the ceremony itself (with music for bridal entrance, signings, and exit music). This may be followed by one or two 45 mins drinks reception sets - you may want some more upbeat song choices here!
For corporate events, parties, memorials we usually suggest two to three 45 mins sets.
We are happy to perform outside, we just ask that we are covered to project our instruments from sun and rain.
Definitely. Please pick your song choices from our repertoire list, and we are happy to include one song which does not appear in our list for free.
