Ska Train’s set-list is a blend of all your favourite 2-Tone classics (Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Beat, The Selecter, etc) and original Jamaican ska tunes, peppered with a few curve-ball song choices to delight audiences of any age and musical interest. Also, if you request it along with your booking, the band can perform a special ska-d up version of any song you like -a first dance, a couple's tune, a go-to party song, or just your all-time favourite!
Ska Train originally made their live debut playing a full set at the iconic 2-Tone Village in Coventry (the home of 2-Tone), and have gone on to play parties, festivals, and sold-out shows across the Midlands. In March '24 they performed a one-off show with very special guest trumpeter Jon Read (ex-Specials).
The band consists of seven highly experienced musical professionals who have played and performed for years at venues across the UK and overseas. They are united by a love of ska music and a passion for sharing this musical love with live audiences everywhere. The line-up features keys, guitar, bass, drums, and vocals, and has an awesome 2-piece horn section with sax and trombone. They love plenty of crowd interaction, and often leave the stage to join the dancefloor while they are playing!
The band is ready to travel anywhere to entertain people. They have a full kit, PA, lighting rig and insurance. They can provide background music during breaks, and/or a Ska DJ to open or follow their live set.

Of course! This music is made to share! These songs are great to get everyone singing and clapping along as they dance, and some of the band - especially the singer and the saxophonist - love to wander around the dance floor as they perform. And if anyone wants their spot on the mic - however good (or not!) they are, just let us know!
