Ska Dugs are a 9-piece Ska band from East Kilbride, Scotland. The bandformed in 2017 from a collection of enthusiastic ska lovers who just couldn't get enough ofthe likes of The Specials, Madness, Bad Manners, the Clash and many more.
Their unique brand of entertainment fuses a tight, skanking rhythm section and punchy, powerful brass lines with creatively arranged songs and a high-energy performance that is guaranteed to make the audience go wild.
The Dugs have started taking the central belt by storm by dazzling crowds at music festivals, packing iconic Glasgow venues (King Tuts and McChuills) and have even appeared on ITV’s breakfast show Good Morning Britain thanks to East Kilbride’s own Lorraine Kelly. The band has had the privilege of sharing a stage and warming up the crowd for Rhoda Dhaker (The Body Snatchers), Esperanza, Scouting For Girls, Skerryvore and The Peatbog Faeries.

ButeFest 2023 was amazing! As soon as we started playing festival goers flooded the tent we were in to catch us on the main stage. The energy in there was electric and it was fantastic to see everyone skanking and embracing the music! Also, a shout-out to the sound engineers for looking after us at the festival, the sound was crystal clear on stage!
The Specials are the biggest chunk of who we cover, we were devastated at the news of Terry Hall's death. We will continue to spread the music!
The band began with a bunch of mates who loved all things Ska and TwoTone, it just grew organically from there.
We love a festival and a private party, although to be honest, a Ska crowd is epic no matter what the event!
