Simon started playing the Great Highland bagpipes about 18 years ago.

It was after watching all those Pipers at the Queen Mother's funeral of all things, & experiencing the magical sound of the pipes,that made him want to take up this most wonderfull instrument. So, he found himself a tutor, an ex Black Watch piper, and so began his quest to learn the Highland Pipes.Since learning the highland pipes, Simon has played at many prestigious events including the 'Lee Rigby' memorial service, the Lord mayor's parade,& at two military tattoos, one being in Germany, the other in Ystad, Sweden.

A former member of the 'London Irish Rifles',army regiment based in London,Simon has played at many places including the 'Combined Irish Parade,' in Whitehall London, & St Patricks day marches organised by,& held at the H.Q of the London Irish rifles regiment.Simon has also taken part in the regional piping competitions held in St Albans every year.

Simon is available for weddings, funerals, corporate events, parties, burns suppers, new years eve events, or private functions.

Simon has also played with a few 'Greats' in the piping world such as Alan Mcdonald,Thomas Zoller, & the 'Bracken' Brothers who were once members of the St Lawerence 'o' toole grade 1 pipe band, who were world champions in 2010.

Simon considers himself a competent player, having being taut by severel ex army pipers.

N.B. Please note that the £150.00 stated on my pricing is the minimum price that i would play for, wearing day wear, or as its also known, No2 Dress Uniform, which consists of Glengary, Waistcoat, Argyle jacket, standard hoes & piper brouges,plus kilt of course.

If you do require him to play in a full No1 Dress Uniform, then this will be £350.00 minium, unless your on a very tight budget,or depending on what else you wanted him to do on the day.
