Scherzando Strings are a professional Violin Duo formed by Sue Harris-Cohen and William Pickering in 2012. We are joined by fellow professionals to form Scherzando String Quartet and Scherzando String Trio.
We have many years experience playing for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, anniversaries as well as fund raising recitals.
Let us take care of all the music for your wedding, from ceremony, through reception to the wedding breakfast. We provide a personal service to help you choose your music for your special day, performing a wide variety of styles to suit all tastes from Bach to the Beatles and covers of the latest hits. We also arrange music to play as special requests.
Based in Telford, Scherzando Strings play throughout the West Midlands and North Wales and have a flexible approach to provide the highest standards of music from the grandest venues to country churches, village halls, hotles and home events.
They also give concerts and recitals together as well as playing for social events, fundraising and celebration parties.

So many beautiful country houses, castles, gardens it would be impossible to choose.
We are all classically trained musicians.
We started playing professionally many years ago.
We love to play for weddings and parties, sharing those special occasions with our clients
Minimum hire 2 hours
We are happy to play outside as long as it is dry and there is shade for the instruments in particular. A gazebo or other awning is sufficient for us.
We can arrange any special song that is not in our repertoire list with a bit of notice. We are constantly updating our music lists.
Beautiful
we bring everything we need, instruments, costumes, music and stands. We do not amplify our performance so no electronic equipment needed. Please provide a kitchen-type chair (no arms) for each performer
Some non alchoholic drinks during our break (tea, coffee) would be appreciated. If we are playing for ceremony, wedding reception and breakfast (up to 3 hours) light refreshments during the second break.
