Samantha Rae Cello is a cellist who studied and received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio, USA and then moved to Cardiff where she obtained her Masters degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Samantha is a versatile performer, performing solo, with piano, string quartet and in orchestra across the UK. She loves performing different repertoire including pop, rock, jazz, and classical music. She can perform with piano, track or invite other musicians depending on what you're looking for! I only require shade and dry conditions if outside is requested. I have a battery powered amp for my speaker and amplification for the cello.

I love the great classical composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Brahms and more contemporary classical composers such as Dutilleux. However, I love everything pop from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin to Taylor Swift.
I started performing weddings during my undergraduate studies in 2013. I performed solo and in orchestra throughout my studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I perform regularly as a cellist and sometimes as a violinist in string quartet. I’ve played hundred of events and counting!
I just love to play, no matter the occasion. I love when people start singing along or the little ones start grooving and dancing.
I arrive about an hour before I am due to play. I take short breaks if the booking is long but if it is just ceremony and reception I normally play more or less string through.
