I am passionate about playing the piano and performing for people! I have over thirty years' experience of playing the piano at weddings, parties and other social corporate and functions, and can fit in with whatever plans you have and whichever venue you choose.
I have a vast repertoire of songs at my fingertips from modern pop and blues, to songs from the shows, classical and jazz standards. I can also learn new songs quickly if you have any requests. It is not possible to list all the songs and pieces I can play as it would be far too long, however the short list of artists below I hope gives you a flavour of the range of styles that I like to play:
Ludovico Einaudi, Yiruma, Elton John, Phil Collins, Lady Gaga, Christina Perri, Ellie Goulding, John Legend, Tom Walker, Taylor Swift, Frank Sinatra, Tom Odell, Bruno Mars, Eric Clapton, Jason Mraz, Take That, Robbie Williams, Lewis Capaldi, Rod Stewart, The Beatles, Adele, Billy Joel, Bach, Pachelbel, Chopin, Carly Simon, The Temptations, Queen, Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, Randy Newman, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Johnny Cash, Oasis, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Van Morrison, Meat Loaf, Richard Clayderman….and many, many more.
Before the day
Ahead of your big day we can discuss all your requirements over the phone covering the style of music you would like, the length of time you would like me to play, the timings of the day, set-up, logistics and location. I can provide advice regarding what kind of music is appropriate for your event and I can also liaise with anyone helping with you the organisation and logistics of the day to make sure my musical accompaniment fits in seamlessly. You can also get in touch with me any time in the run-up if you have any new ideas or if there have been any changes to timings.
On the day itself
I will arrive around an hour before I am due to start playing to ensure I have plenty of time to set-up before your guests arrive. The first time you will see me is when I am already set-up and playing my piano. I don’t clock-watch at weddings as I know even the best laid plans can go awry, and I won’t stop playing if we go over the agreed time!
Equipment
I have an excellent full-size and fully weighted Yamaha Digital Piano with a slick and powerful Bose amplifier which ensures the sound can carry in large rooms and outdoors. I also have a baby grand piano shell which looks fantastic and is a statement feature at any event.
Rates
Every event is unique, therefore I prefer to tailor my rates according to each specific occasion. As an indication I generally charge between £300 - £600 with the rates varying depending on the length of time you would like me to play.

I need a space that is roughly 3 x 3 meters, with an available power socket within 20 metres of where I will be set-up.
I provide an amplifier for medium to large rooms
I usually ask for the contact details of the coordinator of your event so I can run through logistics such as parking, set-up times, venue rules (e.g music for weddings), and power.
Yes I'm very happy to play music via my bluetooth system whilst I'm not playing. I can play a client's own setlist or create one to suit the occasion.
There are too many to mention! I love playing at weddings particularly across the Three Counties of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire where there are some wonderfully unique venues run by talented and dedicated people.
I love playing covers of pop, rock and jazz songs with Elton John and Billy Joel being most influential due to their wonderful ability to play rock and love ballads on the piano. I also absolutely love Ludovico Einaudi and Yiruma, two modern classical pianists. My favourite piece (at the moment!) is Einaudi's "I Giorni".
I have played the piano at events and weddings and in restaurants and bars since I was 15 years old. I started taking it much more seriously as a professional pianist in 2022 and it took off very quickly. I average around 50 bookings a year and love what I do.
I play at all sorts of events, but weddings are my favourite of all. The music for wedding ceremonies often have great meaning for the couple getting married, and I love that moment when I play for the bride as she walks up the aisle. Weddings are also really fun and joyous occasions and people there just love live music!
Yes you can! You can ask me to play specific songs for your aisle walk / bridal procession (usually one or two), to be played during the signing (usually two), and as you exit.
I will also do my best to accommodate other requests you may have for other parts of the day. My ability to play them all for you will depend on the number you have in mind, and advanced notice.
I charge based on the part of the day you would like me to play. Most couples ask me to play for multiple parts of the day as it becomes more cost effective to do that, as I will apply a discount for the additional elements.
I do get booked up quite far in advance, so I am only able to hold a date for 48 hours without a deposit payment.
I travel up to around 100 miles from my base in Worcestershire. For venues over 50 miles away I apply a small £25 travel fee. I may accept bookings that are further afield, but this will require additional costs dependent on the location.
Yes, I can play outside and really enjoy doing so! Playing outside requires additional considerations such as access to shade and power, and a plan in case the weather suddenly changes. It is important to notify the venue of your plan for me to play outside, so that between us we can make sure all logistics are taken care of.
Yes, it is easy to move both my baby grand piano shell and digital piano. I have two pianos that I can bring so I can set-up in different parts of your venue in advance making it easy and quick to move from one to the other.
I love playing traditional pianos. It is important to check with the venue that the piano has been, or will be, tuned before your event.
I typically arrive 2 hours before I'm due to start to ensure I have plenty of time to set-up and have a chance to chat to the organisers, and guests as they start arriving.
I'm very happy to perform outside if the weather allows! A flat surface, and shade is always good for me and my equipment if possible! I have great Bose amplifier which really allows the music to travel outside.
I can learn specific songs - usually up to four or five. Clients are also welcome to pick songs from my set-list or let me know if there are specific artists / genres they would like me to focus on. My set-list is only indicative, so it's always worth asking if I know a song even it isn't listed!
My clients tend to focus on the quality and emotive qualities of my music, and my ability to adapt my style to the occasion.
In addition to the many weddings and private parties who have booked me, I have also played for the University of Birmingham, the Ministry of Defence, First Grade International, and Age UK.
