Richard started playing the sax when he was 17 and has now been playing for over 40 years. He is very experienced and is equally at home playing Soul, Rock, Soft Jazz and Blues. He has played at many hundreds of weddings and social functions and is well-known in the south of England as a street entertainer, playing in numerous festivals and events both as a solo performer and with various bands.
He is very aware through experience that when playing background music for events that he keeps the volume and balance at a suitable level.
He plays with quality backing tracks through a small portable PA meaning that he can move around without need for mains electricity. This means that he can also play in the open air.
He can also augment his playing with other instrumentalists and is happy to advise on a one-to-one basis for each event.
Myles, Richard's son has been playing the guitar since an early age. Being brought up in a musical household has it's advantages! Now a fully professional musician with many followers, Myles plays in numerous combinations but it is with Richard that he comes into his own. He is a fantastic guitarist who is at home with Jazz, Pop or Rock. A great addition to the saxophone it is ideal for all kinds of events and goes down well with young and old alike.
