Hello and welcome to the world of Piano Matt. Are you looking for music for your wedding, event, or something else? Do you want somebody who personalise your music selections, can help you choose, and fit into your ceremony or event with no fuss? I'm an experienced pianist who loves playing all kinds of music, honestly nothing is off limits. Classical, pop, rock, your favourite Disney song, I'm more than happy to build a programme based on what you like. I'm classically trained, but always enjoy taking on new songs or pieces, or arranging that special song for piano so you can get that perfect moment for your wedding, anniversary, party, or event. I love to see the reaction of people when they hear the music they've chosen, for their big day,
My strength is my flexibility – I am classically trained, specialising in expressive romantic piano music, however I can happily play jazz, rock/pop, or any mixture of styles to match your requirements and tastes. Whether you know exactly what you want or you need some guidance through the process of choosing your music, I will be on hand all the way to help you choose and to provide you with top quality piano music for your event. I can learn new pieces or songs to fit your requirements.
I am also able to offer vocals as an extra, with accompaniment by myself on piano or guitar. Please contact me to discuss this.
All music will be provided to the best possible standard on good quality equipment, including my digital piano and amplification suitable for the venue.
As an experienced musician, I can also offer other musical services. Happy to be an accompanist, to record backing tracks for singers or instrumentalists, song arrangements, or as a dep musician.

Totally bespoke service - I will play what you want to hear
I require a space of 5ft wide by 3ft deep, in the vicinity of a electrical outlet - I will bring everything else. A parking space near to the area I'll be performing in would be ideal, or at least a temporary loading area.
I provide my own self contained PA system for my piano and/or vocals
Just whether there will be space for me near a plug socket

I genuinely enjoy something about every single gig I play, but a highlight for me was playing a classical concert from the bandstand in the park in Leamington Spa - it was a beautiful day and the most amazing atmosphere
I'm very varied with my influences and what I can draw from - my main influence is classical music but that doesn't mean that's all I play as I love bringing my style to current contemporary music as well. I'm very influenced by Jacob Collier who is just an incredible musician, and lots of others such as Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Yann Tiersen, and even artists such as Jeff Buckley, Chris Cornell and David Bowie.
There are so many great songs, but I still insist that Somewhere Over The Rainbow is the greatest song ever written, just absolute perfection in music
I've been playing piano since I was seven, I've played in jazz bars, done concerts, accompanied singers, accompanied myself singing, I was even a church organist for a while. I set myself up to play for events after getting married in 2021, and finding that wedding suppliers were the happiest people I've ever encountered - I can see why now, as the joy from playing for people on their special occasions is really powerful.
I'm happy to play at any event where the guests want to listen to and enjoy good quality piano music
Set Up and Set Down time is max 30 minutes.
Yes absolutely! As long as there's a power socket within reach (i've an extension reel of about 20m), I'm happy to play anywhere.
I offer a totally bespoke personalised service! I'll never force you to choose from a set list of music as that's just not good service and is absolutely not how I like to operate. It's your day, you should have your choice of music
