Rising from the ashes of lockdown, Phoenix 5 are a high-class function band covering Cornwall and Devon. We are highly talented and experienced musicians, dedicated to your entertainment. We’ve all been in bands of different styles and genres for many years, and know what it takes to get your party started.
Catering for all ages and tastes, we play classic dance covers from the 70s through to the present day. Think Chic, Rose Royce, through Blondie and Michael Jackson to Sophie Ellis Bextor, Daft Punk and Dua Lipa. Pretty varied, and a little something for everyone.
We are a five-piece, female-fronted band, and play for all types of functions: weddings, birthday parties, corporate events. We’ll work with you to deliver the event you want. Typically we’ll play for around two hours, but we can configure that to your wishes. If you have a favourite song, such as a “first dance” song for a wedding, or a theme song, let us know and we’ll try and include it provided we get enough notice.
We provide all the gear such as the PA system, lights, so that all you have to arrange is the event itself. Our equipment is all modern, reliable and well maintained so that you can have peace of mind.

Yes, we have our own PA and lighting.
We can work with venue PA and lighting if required - we will require a stereo input to the venue PA from our own mixing desk.

We can play music over our PA before, after, and between our sets.
This can be our own playlist, or we can play a client’s Spotify playlist if they share it with us.
Typical booking is 2 x 60 minute sets, although this can be re-arranged to suit (e.g. 3 x 40 minute sets).
Shorter sets are also possible (e.g. 2 x 45 minute sets).
Setting up time: minimum 1 hour.
We’re happy to play outside, and have done so many times.
Protection from weather (sun or rain) is required, and a safe power supply.
Level surface is important, especially for the drum kit.
The client can suggest songs from our repertoire list.
We can also learn new songs for the event given at least a month’s notice, but we limit this to two songs.
