Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

The most memorable gig was when I was on tour around the U.K. supporting Gerry & The Pacemakers, we played at the Festival Hall (Fairfield Halls).
Not strictly a paid gig but whilst on holiday in Jamaica and being a lover of Reggae music I got up and jammed with the resort house band, I was feelin' Irie.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

That's a tough one! With so many musical influences around, I would have to say either Bob Marley or Barry White or even George Benson , I think the best song would have to be "In your eyes" by George Benson.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

As a child I was in an award winning school choir and just loved singing and playing guitar, then in my twenties I was living in Jersey and used to follow a duo in the pubs and clubs around the Island, unexpectedly one of the duo had to return to the mainland and the other member knew I could sing and asked me join him in his place. That was it, I was hooked!

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I think it has to be Corporate or Masonic functions, they tend to be up on the dance floor from the 1st song.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

From arriving at the venue it will take roughly two hours to bring the gear in, set up and sound check the levels.
After the show, to strip the gear down and load up the van will take between 1 x hour - 1.5 x hours
Performance times would be either 1 x 45, 2 x 45 or 1 x 60 minutes set(s)

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes! More than happy to play outside and if it is too sunny will set up my own gazebo (5 x Mts by 5 x Mts) and play under this.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Having been in the business for over 30 years, and played over 3, 000 gigs I can generally gauge the type of audience and their requirements to get the party started.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?
