Paul is a multi-talented magician who can perform either in close-up situations or in a cabaret or stage environment. His stage show combines conjuring with comedy, mind control, danger, juggling and escapology to create a truly unforgettable experience. His close up performances guarantee giggles and gasps as the impossible happens right under people's noses, sometimes even in their own hands.
Paul started performing magic aged 6 and earned his wings with school and charity performances. He honed his skills during nine years as resident jester and magician at Camelot Theme Park and Park Hall Hotel in Lancashire performing for crowds ranging from small handfuls up to 3,000 people from small children to cocktail parties and everything in between. He now performs at holiday parks, weddings and corporate events all over the country. He has entertained the England, and Manchester City football teams as well as the stars of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks and his performances have featured on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Paul has also worked all over the UK and beyond for companies such as Brittany Ferries, Center Parcs, Hilton Hotels UK, Haven, Manchester United, O2 and HSBC alongside entertainers like pop star Ella Henderson, comedians Rob Brydon and Jason Manford and fellow magician Dynamo. He has even performed for The Magic Circle and produces and stars in his own theatre shows.
Based in Chorley, Lancashire
Stage Show: at least one power socket, lights, two chairs, dressing room, minimum performance space 8' x 8' plus 8' of ceiling space and a parking space where I can unload
Close Up: NA
For my stage show I can provide a PA system or plug into your in-house system. I don't usually provide lighting but can do for an extra charge.
Sound and lighting equipment is not necessary for my close-up magic.
For my stage show I'd need to know where to unload, for anything else I just need the address.
Yes, I'd be happy to play music before my performance. I can select a playlist or the client can choose the music.
I perform regularly for Wigan Warriors who are my favourite sports team. I regularly get to meet players old and new, get to see behind the scenes before the matches and I get free tickets for the games.
The best venue I've ever played at was Event City in Manchester, it's an absolutely enormous venue which was full of fair ground rides and I was performing to premier league and international footballers as well as stars of well-know soaps and working alongside Dynamo and pop band Lawson.
I grew up watching Paul Daniels and Wayne Dobson who undoubtedly influenced my magic but I am also a huge fan of Derren Brown, Penn & Teller and David Blaine. It's hard to pick my favourite trick but you should take a look at David Copperfield's 'Portal' illusion, it's pure magical theatre!
I have been a full time professional magician for more than 20 years performing for everything from massive events to intimate house parties for audiences from global celebrities to children on a day out.
I started performing magic at school shows and local charity events before jumping into my professional career at a local theme park performing in an arena for 3,000 people every day. I now perform at venues, attractions, events, weddings and parties all over the UK and beyond.
I love doing close-up magic at weddings, everyone's always on their best behaviour but in the mood to enjoy themselves. There's all kinds of people and a variety of ages so it just makes it a really fun scenario for performing magic. Plus I get to explore beautiful venues all over the country and even head overseas.
Stage show: one hour set-up, 45 mins performance, 30 mins pack down.
Close-up magic: 15 mins set-up, two hour performance
The performance times are flexible.
I am happy to perform outside as long as it's dry and not too windy.
I'm happy to have input from the client in what I perform but I'm limited to the props I have and the magic that I know.
Previous customers describe my performances as mind-blowing, amazing and fun.
