BIO:
Nick’s musical journey started early – after learning clarinet and saxophone, he added percussion, keyboards, guitar and flute. During the 80s he studied the sub-tone style of playing the saxophone – an advanced technique that produces a warm, soft, breathy sound – a mellow style that his fans know well from his regular live gigs.
Nick’s been performing live solo shows from the 90s with a repertoire of over 500 songs all performed from memory. He also creates his own backing tracks and produces high quality recordings.
He loves interpreting melodies from the American Songbook, Jazz Standards, Classic Blues and popular hits and his musical influences include the saxophone greats Ben Webster, Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins and Stan Getz. Nick also collects, renovates and plays vintage (1930s) saxophones to recreate that distinctive pre-War sound reminiscent of the swing jazz era.
Nick provides an excellent service for weddings, parties, formal functions and corporate events all tailored to your requirements.

As the resident musician at the prestigious 5-Star South Lodge Executive Hotel (West Sussex) I was fortunate to be requested to play solo saxophone at the UK G20 Conference of Finance Ministers - this was a global event hosted by the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster and Stan Getz. I believe one of the best melodies is Over The Rainbow.

I love to play at parties, anniversary celebrations and weddings.
Setup takes 45 mins including sound checks and I ask for access to a power socket for a small PA. I only take up the space of a 2 seat table and chairs. A bar stool or equivalent is always welcome, but not essential. A typical performance is around 2 hours comprising 3 sets with short breaks: Set 1 (45 mins), Set 2 (45 mins) and Set 3 (30 mins). I am highly flexible with timings and will tailor sets to your exact requirements, especially at Wedding Receptions and other formal events.
Yes, under cover if appropriate and possible. I love to play outside especially if it's a lovely sunny day!
Yes I am very flexible with a very large repertoire and can tailor my sets to my client's needs.
Fantastic, brilliant, wonderful and perfect for the occasion - very, very many rave reviews.
Typically clients ask for 2 hours of music with a couple of short breaks. This can of course be extended as required.
