About / Biography

Raised in the leafy Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury, England, "Mr" Paul Adams is a Texas born singer/ songwriter and entertainer, and proud member of the British Country Music Association. Paul has been a performer of live music for 30 years!

When asked to describe his sound, followers of his music define it as unique! A subtle, yet soulful blend of the generations. His influences stem from Contemporary and Classic Country Music to American Rock 'n' Roll, 'Swinging' Sixties and 60s American Soul and even Britpop 90s!

Listen closely and you'll hear echoes of Lennon, Kershaw, Gallagher, Morissette, Cash and Stapleton - among others.
Performing locally, nationally and internationally, Paul has played some famous stages, including London's Troubadour and Nashville's Bluebird Café.

Paul is raw and alternative and brings us something we've long forgotten, but have always missed.

Paul is available for both covers and originals, country and multiple genres as a solo act, duo and live band.

Space of about 12ftx12ft if possible. 2 power sockets and away from a heat source.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Sound only. Lighting is extra.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Nik Kershaw, John Lennon and The Beatles. Now and Forever is the greatest song of all time and is written by Richard Marx.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Started gigging at 21 and have been performing for 30 years. I have been in various bands and duos and have worked as a solo artist throughout. I have played very large events 4500 people to very small living room and garden events and even marriage proposal gigs too.


What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love the sit down and listen types of gig but I also love the enregy of a pub gig too. I can't even name a favourite.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

2 x 1 hour sets - setup for solo is around 20-30 minutes - with a band about an hour setup.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes.


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I usually guage what's played based on my experience but they can request songs which I will do my best to add.


How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Fun, entertaining and very audience interactive.
