Matthew is a hugely popular & in-demand pianist performing worldwide - Musical Excellence and Entertainment whatever the occasion!
Matthew has been performing in public since 1994. His repertoire spans a vast array of genres - classical; jazz; contemporary; Bollywood; ragtime; blues; latin - and he is always exploring new music.
A popular concert and event artiste, his work is predominantly made of contemporary and jazz performances, as he is well-known for his creative flair and 'knack' for improvisation - it is very rare than any 2 performances are the same. He is a very popular and frequent performer around the U.K., mainland Europe, USA and Canada (plus 2 tours of New Zealand and Australia as an organist); with many return visits to venues yearly.
He has held residencies at:
Sopwell House, St. Albans;
Rubens at Westminster (London);
The Connaught at Mayfair (London);
Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, Northants;
The Savoy, London;
Althorp House, Northampton;
……..he is currently one of the resident pianists at The Quod, Oxford.
He is a "Lyric Baritone" vocalist, specialising in performing jazz, swing, blues, and musical theatre; as well as other genres (including pop) from 50s to 00s. He is a self-contained, self-accompanying musician (tracks seldom used) using a multi-keyboard rig, including the very latest Yamaha Genos 2 (as a UK Brand Ambassador for Yamaha).
Whatever the occasion, along with his excellent presentation and rapport with audiences, Matthew brings musical excellence and superb entertainment to all.

If I am providing all equipment (see further questions below), I will require access to at least 1 socket.
I am happy to perform outdoors under shelter (like a small gazebo or similar) - mainly to protect my equipment (whether it be hot sun or pouring rain). If the whether turns out to be "mild" then no shelter should be OK, but shelter is compulsory if rain or hot sun is predicted.
Stereo PA system and mixing desk plus keyboards (or digital piano on its own if that be the requirement)
Lighting and Piano shell by pre-arrangement as I have access to these with my band.

A little something for events like weddings: Always best to check if the venue will allow instrumental music to be played through a speaker (in the case of me providing instruments) as, believe it or not, some venues don't allow it!
Yes, I'm happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between my sets.
I do also partner-up with a DJ who I can put you in contact with and we can do a deal for you.
