Among the best performances i've had was the evenings that I hosted at the savoy hotel. The band and I performed 3 hours of classic jazz to a buzzing crowd. The best solo gigs i've ended up doing have been the round-the-piano Christmas jazz sets that I did last year at the sebright arms. It's a thrilll to get the whole bar singing!
Among the artists i am most influenced are the great jazz pianists such as Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson. I also have a love of singer-songwriter music, and Elliot smith is among my favourite all-time musicians. The greatest song of all time may well be "Angeles" by Elliot Smith
I Have been gigging since I was a teenager, doing my debut gig at the Cinnamon Club, Bowden, where I was working as a runner at the time. Since then I moved to London to study and began gigging in bars and clubs. Since, I've perfromed at dozens of weddings, and many different venues, such as the Savoy Hotel, Soho House, and countless gig venues such as the Victoria and the Finsbury.
I love to play at any event really, but parties (especially the lively ones) are my favourite. If i can get people dancing that's a big plus for me.
I normally arrive 45 minutes - an hour before the allotted time to set up. for every 50 minutes of playing i take a ten munite break, to make up the hour. I then repeat this for as many hours as i'm performing
Yes absolutely, provided I have been given a power socket and a canopy to protect from the rain or intense sun, if it's that kind of weather.
Absolutely. I completely encourage requests and would be very happy to accommodate whatever you would like at your function. Once were in touch, please let me know if there's anything you would like included in the performance.
I have received many great reviews from clients over the years, ranging from "you brought our party a lively energy that made the event", to comments complimenting me for my reliability and professionalism.
