Thanks so much for taking an interest in me and my music! I've been performing for many years now and absolutely love being a small part of special events all over the North of England. I'm currently based in Clitheroe and happy to travel.
To give you more of an idea of who I am musically and what I can do, I much prefer the words of others rather than my own! Please have a read below.
Testimonies:
"He has a fabulous, easy listen to voice and is very versatile with what he sings. He was the singer at my friends' wedding, he played guitar and sang a range of songs in the church as people were starting to arrive, really lovely. I'd definitely recommend him."

Happy to do this, yes.
I played for a private party at Knowsley Hall in Liverpool, which was a crazy and surreal experience! I honestly don't really have a favourite, some of the gigs I've enjoyed the most have been home birthday parties, everyone's so friendly and having a great time with family and friends, I love that the most.
Jack Johnson's probably my main influence and people even say I sound like him a bit, which I'll take as a huge compliment! I love a lot of different music,c though and enjoy a challenge for my guitar and vocal skills. Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Bruno Mars, Jacob Collier, Chris Stapleton, Bob Marley, so many influences.
I've been a musician for nearly 20 years now, I've written, recorded and produced two of my own albums(just home recordings but still ok quality, I think - you can listen on Spotify under my artist name Mike Ozen). After gigging a bit in my early teens I went to study music at Uni and gigging a lot in a band, and then ended up doing Audio Tech work, then teaching which I then moved toward being Head of Music at an Arts College in the centre of Manchester, then I kicked it up a notch in the past year and a half and have been gigging more regularly alongside looking after a 600 seater theatre in a private school as my day job.
I really didn't expect it to be the case but the honest answer is people's houses. There's something so humbling about being invited into someone's home that you don't even know, and then being welcomed and sharing that experience of music with family and friends, it's my favourite kind of gig now.
I am open to extending my set times on the night if a client decides they would like more live music, which does happen every now and then when people have more budget to spare. Of course there is an additional charge for this but I'll always try and accommodate if I can.
Setup 15 mins - performance most often 2 x 45 min sets.
I am providing it's an appropriate setup considering the weather. So essentially some shade if it's very hot, cover if it's raining please.
I put a lot of effort into crafting a ranged repertoire that I will work from for each event, which I will alter as I play depending on the feel of the event and the audience. You really can't predict the exact vibe on an event until you play your first few songs, so I measure it as I go and play what I feel is most appropriate for the event. That being said, I'm open to requests and at the end of the day, I'm only happy if the client is happy when I've finished.
I've had a few great compliments saying that they didn't expect me to be able to cover so many different styles of music, and from so many different eras. From Elvis through to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga and everything in between. Part of why I put so much effort into my gigs now is due to the compliments I often receive at the end of each performance, and often from random strangers as well as the client or host, so those are the best comments to receive.
My only large company client had been TJ Morris.
The majority have been private home events so individuals rather than companies.
