About / Biography

andrew currently lives in sittingbourne Kent and covers all of Medway and Kent . He plays the bagpipes for the city of Rochester pipe band and for the 18/15 napoleonic re enactment society with the royal 42nd highlanders the black watch.
with the city of Rochester pipe band he plays at various events including Rochester dickens summer and winter festivals leading the parade, also at other events including royal British legion ,hickstead horse show , school fetes and Nhs and arms forces day and care homes for the elderly.With The 42nd highlanders He plays at several public events with the napoleonic society including many organised events during the year including the Isle of Wight gathering of the clans. Ickworth country house and hole park. Andrew has played at many burns nights including Masonic occasions and is the resident piper for a local funeral company giving him great experience at playing at funerals to add that special touch to a sad day of reflection.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I’ve been playing for many years at funerals, weddings, burns nights. Also many public occasions with the city of Rochester pipe band . My grandad was Scottish and encouraged me from an early age to play the pipes.

Set up takes about 10 mins to warm and tune the pipes.
