Matthew Rhind is a solo musician based in Edinburgh who has performed regular residencies at the capital's famous Grassmarket and Rose St, along with weddings and corporate events across the country.

Yes, I am happy to play music through my P.A while I am not performing. I will choose an appropriate playlist or let the client choose if they prefer.
I love my residency playing at the cosy White Hart Inn every Wednesday and Friday, but more recently, I've enjoyed doing larger weddings. You can't beat it on a sunny day.
Jeff Buckley was a massive influence on my singing and playing style.
I studied Popular Music at Napier University and have played in bands for years. After spending some years traveling, I decided to return to Edinburgh and do solo gigs. I haven't looked back since.
Weddings have a great atmosphere and I love it when I can engage with the crowd and take their requests.
I have a wide-ranging repertoire. If you let me know what type of vibe you are looking for - romantic, upbeat, sing-along, dance-oriented, 70s, 90s etc, I will tailer my set list to fit the request. If not, I will read the room and play a mixture of songs and styles.
I will typically arrive 30 minutes before my performance. I usually play 50 minute sets with 15 minute breaks in between. Packing away takes 15 minutes.
Yes as long as there is shelter from rain and a power supply. Alternatively, I can play unplugged if needed.
Clients are welcome to pick songs from my repertoire or simply suggest a vibe or era to focus on. For wedding ceremonies, I will learn one special song at the request of the clients.
