The Master K line-up of male vocals, 3 backing vocals, dual guitars, bass and drums gives us a pure, live, energetic, rocking sound. What you don’t get from Master K is anything fake – no cheesy strings, no synth brass, and never any pre-recorded backing tracks. What you see is what you get – highly talented musicians using premium level instruments and equipment, covering songs from the 50s to today with their own style and sound. Even if we play a song note for note, down to the last semiquaver in the last bar of the guitar solo, we will always sound like Master K.

The repertoire is mostly comprised of rock and pop, rather than funk, soul, or Motown. Master K are never likely to play “We Are Family”, “Celebrate” or “Car Wash”. There are hundreds of bands out there who will play that stuff and if that’s what you’re after, fair enough. We know from hundreds of gigs experience that our repertoire will keep the dance floor rammed, and our clients happy in the knowledge that their guests are having the time of their lives.

As all weddings and parties are different we usually offer bespoke packages from brides, grooms and party people. We can include everything you need to start the party and finish it. Including PA, stage and mood lighting, pre-requested disco packages, special requested songs in either style, vintage styled sets and more.

An example wedding service looks like this…
- Arrival at 6pm to be set-up by 7pm.
- 3 x 50 mins of live music between 8pm and midnight.
- Pre-requested (using spotify premium) recorded music between sets so there’s no need for a DJ.
- First dance learnt and another request.
- The full 5-piece band
- All PA, lighting and equipment needed all fully PAT tested
- £5million Public Liability Insurance

Vintage Style: "Classic K"

For 2013 and beyond Master K are offering even more, in the form of "Classic K" – our take on vintage styled wedding entertainment. Imagine if Mumford and Sons played all the best songs by all your favourite artists – that’s Classic Kanish in a nutshell.

The Classic K sound is based on acoustic instruments. Acoustic guitars, double bass, brushes on the drum kit, with added violin or banjo on certain songs for that little extra something. We play newly arranged versions of many songs from our trusty Master K set lists, along with newer tracks by artists such as Rihanna and Plan B.
