If you're looking to book a professional pianist for an event that requires live piano music played beautifully, then look no further. Listening to the audio clips and reading the testimonials will verify that you'll be making the right choice.
Mark has the experience and expertise that is required of a professional pianist on special occasions such as weddings and wedding anniversaries to ensure that the music is played right on cue and exactly as planned.
Originally classically-trained but also self-taught in Jazz, Rock and Pop styles, Mark has built a large and varied repertoire over the years. Mark will be happy to answer any questions and help you to choose the most suitable type of piano music for your wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception.
If your venue doesn't have a suitable piano on site, Mark can provide free of charge a professional electronic stage piano (with the sound of a concert grand piano) along with top quality compact amplification equipment. This requires very little floor space, it can be moved from one room to another (or even outdoors) in a matter of minutes and the sound level can be optimised to suit the acoustics of the venue and the occasion.

I need a performance space of at least 1.5 metres x 1 metre and access to one 240V mains plug socket - everything else will be provided.
Yes, I'm completely self-contained. I can even supply a leisure battery to power my digital piano when playing outdoors if there is no mains power supply available.
I need to be able to park close by in order to unload my equipment. If I am required to play outdoors, there needs to be suitable protection from the elements: shade from the sun or shelter from the rain.

I can't say that any one gig stands out as being better than the rest, but one of my favourite venues is Burgh House in Hampstead, London, which has a lovely oak-panelled room and a Bluthner baby grand piano, perfect for small intimate weddings.
Too many to choose from.
I first started playing at weddings twenty years ago when two friends of mine asked me to play the piano at their wedding. Since then I've played at hundreds of weddings, birthdays and other events mainly in London and the south east of the UK.
I just love to play the piano, so I'm happy to play at any event.
If there's a piano at the venue, it will only take a few minutes to have it ready.
The digital piano will take between 15 and 30 minutes to set up, depending on the venue.
In either case, I will arrive in plenty of time to make sure everything is ready well in advance of the start time.
Performance times vary depending on the type of event. This can be discussed at the time of your initial enquiry.
I am happy to perform outdoors, providing there is some kind of protection from the elements: shade from the sun or shelter from the wind and rain. I can provide my own battery power supply for my digital piano if there is no mains power supply available. My equipment is heavy, so I will need to be able to park close by.
I have a huge repertoire to choose from, but I am happy to learn a few new songs if the sheet music is readily available. It is important for the client to choose the music themselves for the wedding ceremony.
Check out the numerous testimonials!
Yes, I can definitely do that for you; I have a lot of experience of accompanying singers and instrumentalists. Please get in touch to discuss this further.
