Breaking News: Love For Sale is now the house jazz band at Soho House members club. Members can see us next at 76 Dean Street on October 30th.
Love For Sale's line up formed as the house band at Ruby's (one of Time Out's top 10 jazz venues in London) combining stalwarts of the london circuit with the best emerging talents from Guildhall and Trinity Schools of Music.
We've appeared in Channel 4's TV show, Made in Chelsea and TV advertising for Net A Porter.
So a proper jazz band that looks the part. But will they be right for my event?

Booking LFS enables you to concentrate on the event itself.
Why have LFS done so well?
We play Blue Note jazz – the cool 1960's jazz that even non-jazz fans like. Cool and sophisticated (not cheesy or difficult).
We’re instrumental – there is no vocalist craving attention. Guests can listen as much or as little as they like and go back to chatting, eating and drinking.
We 'play the room' – if the energy needs to go up or everyone prefers to chill, then our choice of tunes reflect that.
We’re grown ups. Reliable, responsible professionals who adapt to different situations and set ups. All that stuff that can make musicians hard work to deal with - PO numbers, invoicing, scheduling, logistics, PAT certificates, Public Liability Insurance, being there on time, every time - are all sorted. You can focus on the event itself.
We listen. We're available daytimes weekdays to discuss your event and share our experience to help you make it a success.
We can play 24 hours, 7 days a week, 12 months a year. Instead of risking deps, we are a group of eight musicians who play bookings mainly as a quartet but occasionally as trio. We rehearse together, play together and can cover for each other easily when it comes to holidays, illness e.t.c.
We really can do last minute. We played one gig with only 3 hours notice (not ideal but we made it!)
Don't take our word for all this - see what our clients say in the reviews section
And we've stepped it up post-pandemic;
We've got younger (!) - LFS has added some of the best twenty-something players from London's music schools and from around Europe. Our promo captures the LFS vibe but if you look in the gallery you'll see the current lineup in action.
We've got lighter (!!) For central London gigs, we've invested in some clever gear so that we can bring the full quartet (including drums) using public transport. This saves you the additional costs incurred by the decision to extend ULEZ and congestion charges to the weekend (as well as the increase in the charges themselves). The client saving varies with line up and timing of the booking but its between £120-£200 per booking. You are paying LFS musicians for the music and nothing else.
In a nutshell
If you wouldn't want the band as guests at your event, do not book them!! LFS reviews reference 'positive attitude', 'good vibes' even 'a lovely aura.' We're happy to be at your event. Why? Because you've asked us to do what we were born to do.
LFS are the real deal. Lots of 'jazz bands' are very capable musicians playing something that sounds quite like jazz. But LFS are playing jazz live in London every week - often several times a week. (Check out our Facebook page - Love For Sale London - for the latest dates and lots of up to date videos, posts etc).
