Having already played at Glastonbury, The Isle Of Wight Festival and recorded at the famous Maida Vale studios (BBC Introducing), Louise has established herself amongst a variety of acclaimed producers and DJ’s and her strong fan following continues to grow.
She's developed a solid reputation within the UK soul scene performing extensively across London and beyond and performing regularly at many legendary venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The Hippodrome and The Jazz Cafe.
She has worked on tracks with Example and The Newham Generals (signed to Dizzie Rascal’s Dirtee Stank label) and has supported and shared the stage with a number of acclaimed artists including Jessie J, Paloma Faith, Katy B, Mikill Pane, Ryan Keen, Mr Hudson, Lianne La Havas, Omar, Anthony David, Alexander O'Neal , Mitch Winehouse (in aid of The Amy Winehouse Foundation) and Ed Sheeran (who appears in one of Louise’s music videos and even mentions her in his ‘thank yous’ on his first album).
One of her biggest gigs to date was opening for the legendary George Benson at Kenwood House Picnic Concert in front of 6,000 people and she supported The Stylistics on their sold out UK tour which included Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, The Brighton Centre and Indig02 (in London’s 02 Arena). And more recently she was asked to open for Roberta Flack at The Indigo2.
Her tracks are played regularly by various DJ's on BBC radio stations Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music and BBC London and she is a firm favourite on Jazz FM, Mi-Soul and Choice FM (now called Capital Extra).
She works with a wealth of different producers including Mercury Music Prize nominee Drew Horley (De La Soul, Estelle, Roots Manuva, TY, Natalie Williams and Nate James) and features on Nick Doe's soulful house version of 'He Loves Me', a Jill Scott cover which is out on the Restless Soul label and reached No. 1 in the Soulful House Charts. AND she is currently working with producer Aamir Yaquib who won a Grammy for his work on the latest Rihanna album at Metropolis Studios.
Louise is also now affiliated with global entertainment agency Chokolate who regularly work with the likes of Beyonce and Kelly Rowland, and represent Chris Grant and legendary choreographer / Creative Director Frank Gatson Jr. (Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Usher, J-Lo, Kelly Rowland, Destiny's Child, En Vogue).
Her music video was nominated in the UK Music Video Awards 2012. The track is featured on Soul Lounge 11 (Dome Records) compilation album this year too. And her other track features on the soundtrack of the feature film Hard Time Bus (which won best feature in The Hollywood Black film Festival 2013).
It is not often that you get the chance to witness the emergence of a complete artist and that is exactly what the Soul scene has acquired in the form of Louise G.

We can provide small amps but would need to have PA hire on top if required for the venue / space.
We do not have our own lighting.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue. The size of the venue and performance space.
yes - we can provide a DJ at extra cost.
We can provide these at an extra hire cost and it would depend on the size of the venue - smaller venues and when our line up is just duo or trio we will provide amps at no extra cost but for anything with a larger line up and larger space we would need to arrange a PA hire.
Some venues already have their own PA system in house. If you require lights this is also an extra hire cost.
I supported Kool and The Gang in the o2 arena before the pandemic - the biggest gig I have ever done!
My favourite artists are Erykah Badu, Lauren Hill and Jill Scott. But my favourite song of all time is probably Nights Over Egypt by The Jones Girls.
I always sung and danced when i was growing up and used to do lots of musicals. but started writing and gigging around 16 /17 and then moved to london and started on the gig circuit there
I love playing at weddings as people are always in a great mood and up for dancing.
We do a lot of acoustic trio gigs - guitar, percussion (cajon) and vocals - this works really well in most settings as we can do more background stuff but also can get people dancing if we do a more upbeat set. We often do x2 45 minutes but we can always work around the client's timings. I also like playing with a 5 piece band where we have full drums, keyboard, guitar and bass .
yes as long as there is heating (if it's winter) and protection from rain and near a power socket etc.
we are always happy to take a few requests if told in advance - plus I can send my full repertoire to the cllient in advance and ask them to choose what they want from the set but to also trust us that we know what works when it comes to an upbeat party set and getting people dancing etc.
'Truly outstanding performance and we have received numerous comments on your exceptional talent. Louise and her band created a wonderful atmosphere through the power of music.’
“Louise Golbey’s sublime voice and talented accompaniment provided the perfect acoustic backdrop for our event. We wouldn’t hesitate in booking her again in the future.”
“Louise is rapidly becoming an institution within the Booking Office at the St Pancras Renaissance hotel. The soulful songstress captivates the bustling crowd from the first note of her totally unique voice. Louise brings soulful classics to the modern arena with a respect that clearly demonstrates the love for her craft. Her bubbly nature off stage makes her a wonderful weekly addition.”
“Always professional, always demure, always a pleasure”
“Louise is a born performer.''
