Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

We currently perform at Old-Trafford - Manchester United's Stadium for corporate events since 2022. With a total of 5 performances so far, the last gig was in December 2023.

We also performed at International festivals in Manchester (MIF) and Stock on Tees (SIRF) for a crowd of 2,000 and 8,000 people. The crowd energy of those days will be a lifetime memory.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We are influenced by Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Gypsy Kings, Buena Vista Social Club, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Dua Lipa, Sting, Santana, La Fania, Steve Wonder, etc... The list is huge. We love incorporating hits from these and more artists. We love to make Latin and Afro twists of Britpop bangers.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started gigging with the university's big band as a saxophonist about 15 years ago. Since then, I have been performing all my life as a multi-instrumentalist musician for several bands around South America, Europe, the Middle East, and the UK. We have been playing together with this particular band for the last eight years.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Festivals and Weddings are the best fun! However, we love the challenge of corporate events, because of the diversity of their event schedules and technical requirements.

Do you guys play just Latin Music?

No, we play Latin Music, Britpop, American Pop, Afrobeat, Caribbean music, Balkan music, Punk, Reggae, Samba, Rock, Surf Music, Motown, R&B, Ballads, Latin Jazz, Cuban Folk, South American Folk, and Latin Pop.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Every event is different and requires different setup and sound check times.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up and sound check (for Manchester gigs) or 2.5 hours if the event occurs outside Manchester.
It takes us 1 hour to set up, 30 minutes to do a sound check & 30 minutes to pack down.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside, but we ask for shade, a flat-level surface, and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We can learn specific songs before the event, but we usually limit this to 3 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

I think that our clients usually describe us as party animals. Our unique way to twist bangers into danceable rhythms makes a positive impact. We love engaging verbally and musically with the crowd, and sometimes, it's vital to be flexible with our repertoire, as the crowd is the boss, and we are there to entertain them.

How many songs are in your set list?

We currently have 180 songs in our repertoire, from quiet instrumental music to bangers of all times from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000, and beyond.
