The La Vida Duo is made up of Epsie (flute) and Will (guitar). Both graduates and friends from two of the world leading music colleges, they bring an exiting and approachable flare to their playing. Both internationally renowned soloists, they decided to pair up their talent to create this versatile duo. La Vida bring original arrangements of pop, classical, jazz music and can tailor their music for your event.
Epsie:
Epsie is a flautist from Llanelli in South Wales. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music where where she completed her undergraduate and Masters graduating with Distinction. Over the years, Epsie has had many competition successes winning the prestigious Bryn Terfel Scholarship, a televised arts competition in Wales. In 2018, she won both the under 30s International Young Musician of the Year Competition at the Llangollen Eisteddfod and the instrumental solo under 25 Competition at the Urdd National Epsie is an active freelance musician and enjoys performing all kinds of music. She plays with Sinfonia Cymru and has traveled to Abu Dhabi for a performance of ‘Tosca’ with Bryn Terfel, Kristine Opolais and Vittorio Grigolo. As a soloist, Epsie has performed at many festivals and events throughout the UK. She has been seen playing jazz on S4C and also recorded solo flute.
Will:
Will regularly plays at venues across London such as the V&A, National Portrait Gallery, Albert Hall and Somerset House to name a few. From weddings in castles to corporate functions at the O2, Will has years of experience playing at events. Will was trained at the renowned Royal College of Music. After leaving, he became a young artist for the International Guitar Foundation where performed concerts and new guitar works across the UK. As a sought after session musician, Will’s playing has been used for many recordings, and has featured on BBC documentaries. Will has enjoyed recording his own music releasing ‘Session One’ in 2015 and ‘Christmas Guitar Arrangements,’ in 2020.
