KITA KACEY is a very versatile pop/soul singer with a pleasing mellifluous tone. Kita embodies a wide range of genres and styles from the jazzy soul vibes of Amy Winehouse to the likes of upbeat pop divas such as Dua Lipa and Anne Marie whilst tapping into her country roots of Fleetwood Mac, Shania Twain and bringing the raw edge of soft rock power numbers such as Brian Adams ‘Summer of ‘69’ and The White Stripes ‘Seven Nation Army.”
A high-energy performer with good movement ability, and audience interaction skills, typically fronting full band/acoustic duo/trio sets. Kita Kacey performs regularly as part of a duo, as lead vocalist for a band and dep for acoustic acts and bands across London and the UK as well as writing her own music.

I have to say one of my favourites over the last couple of years is a little pub tucked away in Rotherhithe south East London called The Blacksmiths Arms. It is a very intimate and charming East London pub with a lot of regulars and locals. I play here when I can with my favourite guitarist friend and the reception, energy and warmth never fails to fill me up with joy and gratitude for what I do. The people LOVE the music and truly appreciate you as an artist.
Growing up I was obsessed with the Pop/Rnb Divas of the time such as Christina Aguilera and Beyonce and Destiny’s Child but there was one young and fresh artist whose album was on constant repeat and that was Jojo whose big hit was “Baby it’s you.” Her vocal range and riffs were and still are incredible- I still can’t compete but I loved her! Other influences were Shania Twain (Come on over) album and Fleetwood Mac; Rhiannon, Go your own way and Dreams being faves.
Did my music degree at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), and then started breaking into the function scene, took me a while as I wanted to focus more on my artistry and I was teaching singing, dance and drama for years as well. But earning a living as a vocalist has been amazing further development for my voice and performance, I’ve tapped into parts of my voice, mainly stylistically that I didn’t even know I had and it’s been great to unlock these other abilities.
Intimate venue. I sing at The Shard pretty often and there’s a lovely relaxed vibe there, especially on Sunday daytime. In one of my first few gigs there, American rapper Busta Rhymes joined us on stage mid-way through Stand by Me, that was fun lol. I’m yet to do a huge arena, I believe one day I will, hopefully performing my own music. So, when I tick that box, i’ll let you know how it compares hehe.
Arrival: 60-90 minutes before the performance
Setup/pack down:
- 45-90 mins including set up & sound check
- 20-60 mins pack down (depending on line up)
Yes, weather permitting. I’ve done many outside gigs, mainly in the summer months. Also, ideally stable, flat ground as I tend to wear platform boots/heels.
I prep the setlists pre-gig but am always happy and open to discussing and taking requests, particularly for weddings.
