Let the magical voice of Kayla Fuller and the energizing backing of The Cards take you back to the good times of the 1980's; back when hair was big, shoulders were wide, and songs were the soundtrack of your life...
Sing along with us and dance to classic pop hits from Madonna, The Bangles, Kim Wilde, Eurythmics, Roxette, Blondie, and many more - we bet you already know all the words! Then rock out to crowd pleasing floor fillers including Bon Jovi, Bonnie Tyler, Joan Jett and Guns N' Roses. And there are a few tracks from the 90's in there too.
Kayla And The Cards feature the amazing Kayla Fuller on lead vocals, with Clive Butler on bass guitar, Ade Bond on keyboards and guitar, Robin Smallman on drums and vocals, and David Harrold on lead guitar and vocals. (Clive, Ade, Robin, David - hence 'Cards')
Kayla grew up listening and loving the songs her parents played throughout her childhood in the 80's, and has been singing all her life. The Cards are all experienced musicians; Robin, Clive, and David have been performing with live bands since the 1970's, and Ade since the 90's. David's claim to fame is that he played in several 'almost famous' bands in the 80's including The Afghan Rebels, Red Seven, and Forget The Name (in hindsight, not the best choice for a band name...) and once had Howard Jones as his support act.
We have our own professional grade PA including a digital mixing desk for crystal clear sound. We use modern technology to recreate the sounds of the 80's, including electronic drums, electronic keyboards, and guitar amplifier modellers. This means we can fit the show into small spaces, and more importantly it means we can manage the volume levels as appropriate for the venue. No massive amplifier stacks, and no complaints from the neighbors!
We already have a large selection of songs in our repertoire so we can tailor the setlist to suit the event. And if you have any other favourite songs you'd like us to perform, just drop us a line to discuss.

We are a five piece band so need a performance space of at least 6 metres x 3 metres. We will need 2 x 13 Amp power sockets within 10 metres of the performance area, and 3 parking spaces.
For outdoor performances we need a covered performance area with protection from the elements (sun, wind, rain etc).
We have our own PA and stage lighting, suitable for indoor or outdoor venues up to 300 people. For larger venues we can usually arrange additional equipment, please contact us to discuss.
Please provide the venue address and a telephone contact number. A what3words location code for the venue entrance will help immensely. We also need to know the approximate size of the room or area we will be performing in; is it indoors or outdoors; is there a raised stage; and how many guests are you expecting? If the performance area is not on the ground floor, is there a lift?
Yes, we're happy to play Spotify music between sets. We have ready made playlists or you can create your own.
The best gig we've done so far was for a 60th birthday party, held in a bistro style wine bar. Lots of singing, dancing, and fun!
Our current favourite song is Don Henley's "The Boys Of Summer", but "Kids In America" is a close second. Favourite band? Simple Minds of course.
David, Robin and Clive have been gigging since the 1970's, and still going strong - Ade and Kayla are youngsters and have only been performing since the 90's, but they seem to have got the hang of it already!
Outdoor events are our favourite, especially when the sun is shining! But birthday parties are always fun, everyone is singing along by the end of the night
Please allow us 90 minutes for setup time before the performance. We usually play 2 x 60 minute sets with a 15 minute break between sets.
Yes - especially if you can arrange for warm weather! We need a dry, flat surface, and a covered area for protection from any rain showers or strong sunshine. We need 2 x 13 Amp power outlets within 10 metres of the performance area.
You can choose any songs from our repertoire. We're also happy to add some of your own favourites; up to 3 additional songs is included in the price. But please give us plenty of notice, and please bear in mind that not all songs may be practical for us to attempt so we may have to suggest alternatives
"a wonderful band with an amazing lead singer"
