My name is Julian and I'm a Session Drummer, Percussionist. I'm hard working, reliable, versatile and punctual. I'm a fluent click player and can read/write charts. I also pick up tracks quickly.
I started playing percussion when I was 13 years old and have gained much experience performing live and recording across a wide range of genres - rock, pop, swing, big band and orchestral.
I have touring experience having toured throughout UK and Europe.
I have performed alongside Sir Tom Jones and Dame Shirley Bassey and have appeared on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Wales.
Noteable Venues include Millennium Stadium (Cardiff), Royal Albert Hall (London), Symphony Hall (Birmingham), St. Davids Hall (Cardiff), Coal Exchange (Cardiff), NAW (Cardiff Bay), MusicHalle (Munich) and National Indoor Arena (Birmingham)
In 2009, I performed alongside Jason Bittner (Shadowfall), Robin Guy (Independent), Karl Brazil (Robbie Williams) and JoJo Mayer (Nerve) at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena as part of a charity event called "Stick It To MS" in aid of MS Society.
In 2011, I worked South Wales based Alternative Rock Band "They Walk Among Us". A three-piece band from Cardiff, the music is multi-layered and musically dexterous - a laptop provides accomanying electronic element of a spectrum of sounds. The band are no strangers to touring with two big American tours under their belt. The last of which spanned three months and saw the band play in over 36 cities across 26 states. These tours brought much acclaim state side, a thing many other British bands can but dream of. The band has worked with producers Richard Jackson (Super Furry Animals and The Automatic) and Charlie Francis (REM, Kaiser Chiefs and Turin Brakes).
Recent work has included studio recordings, air-play on BBC Radio and also a number of gigs throughout UK including a Phil Collins tribute.
