Multi-award-winning and critically acclaimed and UK fingerstyle singer-songwriter Jon Hart blends modern percussive fingerstyle guitar with emotive/gritty vocals and songwriting to create an immersive one-man acoustic experience. Although his technical abilities could be compared to the likes of Jon Gomm and Newton Faulkner, he offers something distinctive in this small pool of virtuoso acoustic guitarist-singers. The sole purpose of all Jon's compositions and arrangements is to emulate them live. He does this with just one acoustic guitar and sometimes a vocal harmony pedal, without the use of a loop pedal. Watch the showreel for a taster!

Yes, I bring my 100w acoustic amp and one small spotlight. I do bring an extra speaker for larger gigs
I need to know any directions to help me find the venue and where I am meant to set up (I'll need around a 2 x 2-metre area). An easily accessible plug point and shelter (to protect my equipment and me from direct sun, rain, etc.) are vital.
I supply an Aux to headphone jack lead, which allows someone to plug in a playlist on a phone, tablet or laptop. This then connects to my amp
Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. You can plug your phone or tablet (which must have a headphone input) into my acoustic amp using my Aux lead.
Yes, absolutely! I always bring my own gear :)
I've performed at the Isle of Wight Festival and co-headlined a night at the Ullapool Guitar Festival. But my most memorable show was in Brescia, Italy. The event host built a venue called the Red Theatre under his house (like a music bat cave). He arranged for me to fly over, and took me around the city to little hidden gems (tourists aren't really aware of) for food and drink. And then I got to play to a pack intimate crowd where we recorded and filmed the whole thing. And this became my 4th album called 'Live in Italy'.
A lot of people say I have a similar sound to Newton Faulkner and Jon Gomm. My favourite songs to play live are my cover of Money, The Chain, Tennesse Whisky and Englishman in New York.
I use to tour in bands as a frontman, but I could never find other members who took it seriously or professionally. So I headed out as a solo guitarist-singer events musician in 2012. I won a regional and national wedding industry award in 2015 and another regional award in 2016. I stopped applying for awards after that as my focus turned to gigging and releasing albums. I have played hundreds of events from weddings, corporate, parties (birthday and garden), charity and general gatherings. Every event I turn up to enjoy myself, which sets the scene, creates a positive impact and delivers memories for all.
To be honest every event is different and I love that. I love sitting back and playing singing. But I also love watching everyone singing and dancing. It's a pleasure and honour to be at all events.
My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm happy to chat through and make sure we find out your favourites.
Performance times:
2 x 45-minute sets
3 x 45-minute sets
I'll arrive an hour before the performance to setup/warmup
I'm happy to play outside but I ask for shelter/shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
I can learn one song request for the client depending on the complexity. The client are then welcome to pick their favourites from my song list and I will pop them into set list that will fit with the atmosphere.
A lot of previous clients have said my act is professional, friendly, talented, amazing great energy/presence and created the perfect atmosphere.
I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let us know.
I usually set up about 1 before the performance time.
If a song isn't included on my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I'm happy to do this for you depending on the complexity and how much time I have to learn the song.
