About / Biography

Jono and Jasper are a father and son team with a big sound and a small footprint. We cover the best rock, pop, blues, country, folk, and even a little reggae, from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

We use backing tracks and sometimes a looper to create a band sound, but much of our material is acoustic. We go down particularly with audiences in 40+ bracket, who appreciate our high-quality vocals, virtuoso guitars, strong stage presence and professional sound quality.

We're happy to play any venue, whether indoors or outdoors, licensed premises or private homes. We can provide background music around the performance, will do our best with requests, and have even been known to invite audience members onstage to jam or sing with us!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Tunes in the Park, Port Eliot Estate, 2023, in front of 2000+. Playing through a festival level PA was unreal.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Thin Lizzy, Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley. Greatest song of all time - either Time by PF or Don't Think Twice by BD.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've been gigging for 30 years, solo and in bands, in pubs, clubs, ships and hotels. My guitarist has been playing for five years, gigging for two, and is something of a prodigy, already drawing attention from professional agencies.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

One where the audience are there for the music and the postivity it creates.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We allow an hour to set up, but typically do so in half the time. We play 2x50 min sets, and are more than happy to continue for longer if appropriate.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, as long as there are no issues with rain + electricity!

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Happy to take requests on the night, but can make no promises! Also happy to prepare material by prior arrangement.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Great material, strong vocals, outstanding guitar playing, great audience banter.
