About / Biography

Hi there,

Thank you for stopping by!

My name is Jeremy Levif and am a 34 year-old solo singer and guitar/piano player, originally from France but now based in Scotland, well-known for being a semi-finalist of The Voice UK 2021 on Team Will.i.am and finalist of The Voice France 2023.

I play regularly in local venues, festivals and private functions at times too such as weddings, fundraising events and live shows.
Audiences always enjoy my live shows for their being lively, fun, interactive and for my cover repertoire being so varied.
Over the years, I have had the chance to share the stage with artists such as Jamie Cullum and Sam Bailey, as well as perform twice in-bowl at Murrayfield Stadium for the Six Nations Rugby game Scotland V France.

I provide a very good PA for events and use some cool gadgets such as a loop pedal and a stompbox, to add creativity and even more groove to my cover work.

I am also a bagpiper, a former member of the Ayr Pipe Band Society and play many famous tunes often played at weddings as well as faster, upbeat jigs and reels.

I can offer special packages, which combine the bagpiping performance and the singing one.

Sounds interesting to you? Please get in touch...

I look forward to hearing from you!

Jeremy

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

The best gig I have ever done was the in-bowl performance at Murrayfield Stadium before the Scotland V France Six Nations Game in 2024. It was such an exciting feeling to perform some of my songs for 60,000+ people for such an important event gathering people from my native country France and my adoptive one, Scotland 🇫🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My biggest music influence is John Mayer as I discovered his music when I was 16. I started singing and playing the guitar through learning his songs.
Growing up, I have also been influenced by soul and Motown through listening to Michael Jackson, Kool & The Gang or Earth Wind & Fire and I do try to incorporate a variety of genres and influences in my set to appeal to as broad an audience as possible.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started singing and playing the guitar at age 16 and did a lot of open-mics from that time on.
I started professionally gigging in 2018 and since then I have performed at 100+ weddings, private events or pub/restaurants in the UK and France.
My highlight was reaching the semi-finals of The Voice UK in 2021 (Team Will.I.Am) and the finals of The Voice France 2023 (Team Vianney). 🥳

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love playing all sorts of events but weddings are my favourite, as I love getting to know the couple beforehand and contributing to making their day as special as can be.

Where are you from originally?

I am from Lyon in France but moved to Scotland over a decade ago.

Why should we pick you as our entertainer?

I love what I do and take pride in the music service I offer.
I aim for 100% customer satisfaction, from the booking process and communication, right through to the performance on the day.

What instruments can you play?

Guitar, piano and bagpipes.

Do you offer custom packages, including some with bagpiping?

Absolutely!
I offer various packages including some with bagpiping. We can find the ideal package for you during the booking process in order to meet your exact needs and provide you with the fairest quote possible.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes before the performance to set up.
I usually perform without breaks for 2 hours but will take a 10 minute break when the performance is longer.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Definitely!
I will happily adapt on the day of the performance too.
For outdoor performances, access to a power supply within 5 meters is however required.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

During our video call, we will discuss music and song requests so the entertainment is as tailored to your needs and tastes as possible.

For wedding ceremonies, I can learn and perform up to 4 songs of your choosing (aisle x1, register x 2, exit x1).
For drinks receptions or other types of events, I can learn up to 2 song requests of your choosing.
Prior to the event, you will have access to my up-to-date repertoire and will be able to choose music from the latter.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe my performances as being of high-quality, engaging, professional and showcasing great musicianship. Clients have loved my wide and versatile repertoire and my ability to get the audience singing along and dancing.

Can you sing in another languages?

Yes! I can sing in 5 different languages: English, French, German, Spanish & Italian.
I have already performed at international weddings / events, where I included songs in the relevant foreign language.

What are your typical performance times?

Here are some combinations of performance times:

- 2 x 60mns
- 3 x 55mns
- 4x50mns

What is your typical setup?

I sing and play an electro-acoustic guitar.
I also use a stomp pedal to add some beat and extra energy to my acoustic performances.
For some songs, I also use a loop pedal to create extra layers, but like Ed Sheeran does. I sometimes use backing tracks too.

Depending on the type of event and clients’ wishes, I have a second microphone ready in case a member of the audience wants to sing too.
