I have always listened to an array of different styles of music from folk, jazz, gypsy jazz, classical, pop and r&b music. All of these styles of music have influenced my playing and I am able to easily adapt my playing style to different genres of music

Jen has been playing the violin since she was 7years old and started gigging at 16 and since then she has built a wealth of experience performing in theatre, weddings, luxury events and corporate events in and around the UK and all over the world. Her works has taken her from Canada, The Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe and as far as Australia and Tasmania! Along with her international work, Jen has worked extensively in Musical Theatre, touring all No.1 UK Theatres and working in the West End in shows such as Sister Act, Fiddler On The Roof, The Wizard of Oz, Chess and Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat to name a few.

Along with her solo work, Jen plays with London’s top ceilidh band specialising in Scottish and Irish folk music and also plays with the UK’s first string quartet with beatboxer performing all the latest chart hits.

Wether you are looking for an intimate classical ceremony, an upbeat pop set for a drinks reception or setting the perfect background atmosphere as guests are mingling, Jen will tailor her music to add that bespoke touch to your event. No query is too small, please do ask. For weddings, Jen usually provides music for the ceremony, drinks reception and/or the wedding breakfast. Jen has been influenced by all styles of music and can perform everything from classical, pop, r&b, folk, musical theatre and jazz. Jen can provide her own compact PA system to play backing tracks through and it can also amplify the violin for larger spaces. You can choose from acoustic and electric violin or a mixture of both for your event.

I usually arrive 45 minutes prior to my playing time and will need 30 minutes to set up my PA and sound check. It’s a small PA so doesn’t take much time at all to set up.

For weddings ceremonies I usually provide music as guests are being seated and then play during the ceremony. For reception drinks or wedding breakfast I provide 2x40mins sets with a 15mins break. I am very happy to play longer or shorted depending on costs and my timings are very flexible.

Yes absolutely! I just ask to have some shade to protect the instrument and a power supply close to the performance space.

I personally tailor my set lists to what you would like musically and I am very flexible in regards to being led by the type of style or mood you would like on the day. You can pick your favourite songs from my repertoire to make sure they are played on the day. My package also includes 3 personal song choices that you love which I will learn.
