Bio:
JayRar is a guitarist/vocalist who specialises in custom arrangements of popular songs. Able to perform a wide range of genres, he prides himself in creating your very own live lounge experience, even taking on requests outside his usual set list. Perfect for music lovers at event receptions/meals before leading into a DJ or band for the evening. His sound is said to be a mix between James Bay, Craig David and Newton Faulkner with a voice described as ‘incredibly soulful’ by BBC’s very own Christian Carlisle.
Services:
Standard performance times are 2x45 minute sets with a 15-30 minute break. Set duration and amount is negotiable so feel free to message with any queries. You deserve to have whatever you want for your event.

Requirement of 2mx2m space for performance. It is possible to squeeze into 1.5mx1.5m but please do specify this.
2 sockets from the main for best practice but 1 socket from mains can be managed.
1 Parking space required.
I provide my own PA systems for the events but do not have lighting.
If it has parking, loading areas ect.
Spotify playlists of similar music is played in between sets but no DJ service is provided at this time.
I once performed in front of 4000 people at an RAF base, supporting Peter Andre in the line up.
Main influences are Newton Faulkner, Craig David, John Legend, Panic! At The Disco, Coheed & Cambria. I don't think there's any way to pick the greatest song of all time.
I've been singing for around 15 years now and playing Solo for 6 years. I starting singing at school, did some competitions in my early adult life and then formed a swing/soul band in my mid twenties, eventually moving to acoustic solo work at the end of 2017.
One full of music lovers and/or musicians. They tend to have an eclectic taste and a deeper appreciation for the finer dynamics and subtleties in music. I'd say afternoon weddings are my favourite type of event as things are chilled and happy - that's the way I tend to live and enjoy my time.
In almost all cases, this is something I'm not willing to do. I pace the music and song choices of the set to build and end with the final song. Asking for an additional set after this will always be a no I'm afraid as it would only lower the atmosphere.
I offer to learn songs for each event at a cost based on song complexity. Most songs are about £30.
I do offer this service but it requires an additional set up of equipment and more hours of service which has additional costs. Please mention this when booking to discuss.
Set up time of 60-90 minutes in order to get the best sound check possible before the performance. For events, sound check and set up before guest arrival is preferred but not essential.
Yes but I will always need cover in the form of a 2mx2m minimum gazebo with 3 sides. Direct sunlight and the obvious rain can cause damage to my equipment. I provide a gazebo at a small additional cost.
I like to discuss the set with clients before the day and allow roughly 40% of song choices to come from them if they wish. I never make a set list as I feel song choices are better in the moment once I'm in front of guests. I prefer a good flow to the music on the day and so adapt song to song, building a set list around the song choices of the clients.
I'd recommend looking at my reviews for this.
