About me...

Hi! I’m a professional cellist, performing your perfect music soundtrack, worldwide. I can provide beautiful music for your wedding ceremony, drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts, first dance, private functions and events, and more! I can also provide background and interim music, perfectly suited to your event. I provide solo acoustic cello, and I can also provide elctroacoustic cello with backing track accompaniments.

Not just another cellist...

I create bespoke playlists for every client, often transcribing, writing, and learning custom music as per your new request. Almost anything is possible on cello! My library includes favourite and traditional classics; pop songs from over the decades; plenty of TV and film favourites, beautiful church hymns, and film and theatre favourites – there are no limits! I have also incorporated music from different cultures, including Bollywood, Polish, AfroBeats, and more. I can arrange special requests of your favourite pieces of music and can sight-read and improvise fluently. If you have an unusual or specific request which you'd like to hear on cello for your event, please don't hesitate to ask.

A bit of background...

I have played cello for 30+ years, performing with countless professional orchestras and ensembles around the whole of the UK. I also travel internationally to perform with my cello, including the USA, the Caribbean, the Channel Islands, and much of Europe. Away from orchestras, I've been invited as backing strings for numerous musicians for professional recordings and live performances.

I have worked with and been seen/heard on BBC Radio 3, Radio 4, BBC World Service, ITV, Classic FM, Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, and Netflix, have recorded at Abbey Road Studios and Maida Vale Studios London, and Smecky Studios Prague, and performed with various artists, key figures, and celebrities such as HRH Princess Anne, Alicia Keys, Olympic Team GB, Amanda Holden, Akash Odedra, Joan Armatrading, Stormzy, Ebony Bones, and more.

I have an MA Degree in Performance (with distinction), and to maintain an excellent standard of playing, I currently study under award-winning cellist Richard Jenkinson, with additional lessons from tutors at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and London Royal Academy of Music. I also offer cello performance coaching in my online cello community!

My primary cello is a beautiful English cello aged approx 200 years old called Sid, and he's lush. My second cello Melissa is set up for elctroacoustic performances, and is a beautiful 20 year old hand made cello. I travel worldwide, and can perform for as little or as long as you need. Very importantly, I am fully insured with Public Liability insurance which covers me for venues worldwide.
