Janina has been teaching and performing professionally for over 20 years. She has a wealth of experience under her belt performing with orchestras, jazz bands, theatrical shows, function bands, Solos, Duos and smaller groups.
Janina has also regularly performed at weddings, private parties, churches, concert venues and the odd Barmizvah!

A Safe space to perform near to a power socket. Parking at the venue or somewhere I can pull up close to the entrance to unload and park nearby.
Speakers and PA will be provided. I also have a wireless mic so I can wonder with the crowd and guests on the dance floor.
I will need to know the Postcode and directions to help me find the venue . If you would like me to play alongside a DJ that is already booked I will need to contact them to get their permission to plug my mic into their equipment (If they say no it isn’t a problem, I can use my own equipment and backing tracks instead) . If parking is available, and be able to unload equipment close to the entrance. I also need to be informed if there is a sound limiter otherwise I may not be able to play /perform.
I can try to arrange for music to be played imbetween sets if it is needed .
I can not pin point to one venue, but I feel that some of my best playing has been for weddings and theatre shows.
Saxophonists ‘Candy Dulfer’ and ‘The Lovely Laura’ are huge influences of mine. I love lots of styles of music, but some of my favourite music to perform is cheesy 80s songs and sax solos, Funk music , and emotional love Ballads.
I have been performing/gigging since college and my experiences have continued to develope from there.
I love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are a favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
Arrival is normally a minimum of 1 hour before the performance to set up equipment and sound check. Performance is normally 2 x 45 minute sets or 3 x 30 minute sets but this can be flexible.
I am happy to play outside during the warmer weather. If playing outside, a flat level surface and power supply will be needed close to the performance area. I have equipment to play wireless and without power but will need to be notified/arranged in advance.
I am happy to learn specific songs before an event but I usually limit this to around 3-4 songs and will need adequate time to learn these. I will discuss music styles requested by clients and put together a sample setlist, clients are also welcome to pick songs included in my repertoire. (Repertoire list is continuously expanding)
