Jamie’s Ceilidh Collective is a lively electric ceilidh (barn dance) band based in Worcester in the West Midlands. The band comprises five talented musicians with a wide range of musical tastes and experience, who take common delight in sharing their skills, enthusiasm, and passion for live music. Whether you have been to hundreds of ceilidhs, or are contemplating your very first - Jamie’s Ceilidh Collective is the band for you. They play traditional and contemporary folk dance tunes and dances from all over the British Isles and beyond, that are carefully chosen for each audience. The band also plays songs from a selection of classic sixties pop hits so that party goers can have a good old freestyle bop. Playing a wide array of instruments, singing songs and tunes from different genres, Jamie’s Ceilidh Collective really know how to have fun.
A barn dance is a fantastic way of getting everyone - whatever their ages - onto their feet and mixing with each other - everyone will have great fun - even those who are unable to dance will enjoy watching everyone else. People who have never been to a barn dance before will find how easy it is to learn the steps, carefully explained by the caller.
The band is available to play at weddings, fund-raising or corporate events, birthday or anniversary parties, or any event where a fantastic time is required. Book Jamie’s Ceilidh Collective and you are guaranteed a whole evening of musical entertainment and barn dancing fun which will be tailored to suit the mood of the occasion. They will play for the entire evening (with a break) so don't think you need any other entertainers for before or after the ceilidh. Your guests will get plenty of chances to sit down and rest between dances with the bands wide selection of toe-tapping tunes and songs.
